Abstract
ABSTRAK
Wansica Diana Natalia “Pendidikan Karakter Toleransi Beragama Studi Kasus Pada SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun”
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pendidikan karakter toleransi beragama di SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan hasil pengamatan penelitian terkait upaya sekolah untuk meningkatkan karakter toleransi beragama peserta didik melalui program internal sekolah. SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun merupakan sekolah yang berbasis nasional, seluruh warga sekolah memiliki latarbelakang yang multikultural dari segi agama dan etnis, maka sekolah memiliki peran penting untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi pada karakter peserta didik, mengingat banyak sekali kasus intoleransi diberbagai sekolah di Indonesia yang memberikan dampak negatif bagi generasi penerus.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek yang dipilih adalah kepala sekolah, seluruh guru agama, guru Bimbingan Konseling, dan peserta didik di SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter toleransi beragama di SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun dilaksanakan melalui program internal sekolah yakni pelaksanaan pembiasaan keagamaan atau religiusitas dan pelaksanaan kegiatan perayaan hari raya besar keagamaan yang diikuti oleh seluruh warga sekolah. Program internal di sekolah tersebut membawa keberhasilan dalam upaya untuk menanamkan nilai toleransi beragama. Keunggulan dari pendidikan karakter toleransi beragama disekolah ini ditunjukkan dengan warga sekolah yang memiliki karakter toleransi, serta lingkungan sekolah yang harmonis tanpa ada tindakan intoleransi di dalamnya.

Wansica Diana Natalia “Character Education Of Religions Tolerance, A Case Study at the National Junior High School of 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun”
This research intends to know about how Character Education of Religions Tolerance at the National Junior High School of 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun. This reseacrh is based on the results of research observations in relation to the school efforts on improving character religions tolerance among the learners through School’s Internal Program. The National Junior High School of 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun is nationally based school all members of the school possess a diverse cultural heritage from religions and ethnic perspectives, therefore school has a significant role in fortering tolerance values in character of learners, considering the numerous cases of intolerance across various schools in Indonesia which has a negative impact to the future generation.
This research apphies quantitative approach with using the case study method. The selected subjects are school principal, all the religions teachers, guidance and counselling teacher all the studens at the National Junior High School of 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun. Method used in data collection by research are observation, interview, and documentation. Methods of data analysis applied data collection, data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing.
Based on the research findings can be concluded that character education of religions tolerance at the National Junior High School of 3 Bahasa Mitra Harapan Madiun is done through School’s Internal Program-namely the implementation of religions habitutation or religiosity and the implementation religions holiday celebration activities attended by the all the members of the school. School’s Internal Program at the said school, bringing succes in the effort to instill the religious tolerance values. The excellence of Character education of religions tolerance in this school indicated by the members of the school which possess a tolerant character, as well as a harmonious school environment free from acts of intolerance.
