Abstract

Minat belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik di jenjang sekolah dasar cenderung masih rendah akibat metode pembelajaran yang konvensional dan kurang menarik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, diperlukan pendekatan inovatif melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan karakteristik dan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media video animasi Superbook terhadap minat belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One-Shot Case Study, di mana satu kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan tanpa pengukuran awal (pre-test). Subjek penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas IV SDK Santo Yusuf Madiun sebanyak 29 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket minat belajar dan tes hasil belajar, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat minat belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang hingga tinggi, dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 83%. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mencapai 88, yang melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) sebesar 75. Analisis uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (p < 0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh signifikan penggunaan video animasi Superbook terhadap peningkatan minat dan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video animasi Superbook efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik, khususnya di tingkat sekolah dasar.

Students' interest in learning Catholic Religious Education at the elementary school level tends to be low due to monotonous and less engaging teaching methods. To address this issue, innovative approaches are needed through the use of instructional media that align with students characteristics and needs. This study aims to examine the influence of using Superbook animated video media on students interest in learning Catholic Religious Education. This research employed a quantitative approach with a One-Shot Case Study design, in which a single experimental group was given treatment without a pre-test. The research subjects consisted of all fourth-grade students at SDK Santo Yusuf Madiun, totaling 29 students. Data were collected through learning interest questionnaires and achievement tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the aid of SPSS software. The results showed that students' learning interest was in the medium to high category, with an average percentage of 83%. Furthermore, the average score of the students learning outcomes was 88, which exceeded the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC) of 75. The Wilcoxon test yielded a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant influence of the Superbook animated video on increasing students learning interest and achievement. In conclusion, Superbook animated video media is effective in enhancing both learning interest and academic performance in Catholic Religious Education subjects, especially at the elementary school level. It can serve as an engaging and meaningful alternative instructional media.
