Abstract

Alexander Galih Prasetya, “Relevansi Program Magang Sekolah Terhadap Panggilan
Sebagai Katekis ”.
Katekis adalah orang yang mewartakan firman Allah, dan memperkenalkan
firman Allah itu kepada semua orang. Katekis bukan merupakan pekerjaan melainkan
panggilan untuk membantu umat supaya semakin mengenali, mencintai, dan mengikuti
Yesus Kristus melalui kesaksian hidup dan bukan hanya dengan kata-kata yang indahindah saja. Program magang sebagai bentuk penyempurnaan dari kegiatan praktek
mengajar, dan menjadi tempat bagi mahasiswa untuk mengenal situasi sekolah dalam
bidang proses belajar mengajar. Program magang sekolah memberikan kesempatan
penuh kepada mahasiswa untuk lebih mengenal dunia kerja. Program magang sekolah
menuntut mahasiswa untuk memiliki kompetensi sosial yang baik.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan
dengan teknik wawancara yang mendalam. Penelitian ini dilakukan di STKIP Widya
Yuwana Madiun. Responden dari penelitian ini berjumlah 9 orang mahasiswa. Pada
penelitian ini responden yang dipilih adalah mahasiswa STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun
yang telah melaksanakan program magang sekolah dan telah dinyatakan lulus serta
mendapat nilai tertinggi.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu menjelaskan
dengan baik tentang pengertian katekis, program magang sekolah dan dapat memberikan
penjelasan mengenai relevansi program magang sekolah terhadap panggilan sebagai
katekis. Relevansinya bagi mahasiswa adalah mahasiswa dapat semakin memiliki
panggilan yang kuat untuk menjadi seorang katekis.

Catechists".
A catechist is a person who proclaims the word of God, and introduces the word
of God to everyone. Catechism is not a job but a calling to help people to recognize, love,
and follow Jesus Christ more through living testimony and not just with beautiful
words.The internship program is a form of refinement of teaching practice activities, and
becomes a place for students to get to know the school situation in the field of teaching
and learning processes. The school internship program provides full opportunities for
students to get to know the world of work better. The school internship program requires
students to have good social competence.
This study uses a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by in-depth
interview techniques. This research was conducted at STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun.
Respondents from this study amounted to 9 students. In this study, the respondents
selected were STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun students who had carried out the school
internship program and had passed and received the highest score.
The results of the study indicate that students are able to explain well about the
meaning of catechism, school internship program and can provide explanations
regarding the relevance of school internship program to vocation as catechist. Its
relevance for students is that students can increasingly have a strong calling to become a
catechist.
