Abstract

Theresia Indri Milawati, “Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Vinsensian (PKV) bagi Peserta Didik (Studi Kasus di SMA Katolik St. Louis 2 Surabaya)”.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya penerapan Pendidikan Karakter Vinsensian (PKV) di SMA Katolik St Louis 2 Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan hasil pengamatan peneliti terkait keunikan SMA Katolik St. Louis 2 Surabaya dalam menghayati dan menanamkan nilai-nilai Vinsensian yang terlaksana melalui pendidikan karakter. Pendidikan karakter di sekolah bagi peserta didik dilakukan sebagai upaya penanaman nilai-nilai kebajikan dan penanggulangan kenakalan remaja yang terus bermunculan.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru yang mengajar PKV di SMA Katolik St. Louis 2 Surabaya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode analisa data yang digunakan adalah kondensasi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Pendidikan Karakter Vinsensian (PKV) bagi peserta didik di SMA Katolik St. Louis 2 Surabaya dilakukan melalui pembelajaran aktif di kelas sebagai mata pelajaran tersendiri yang terintegrasi dengan Pendidikan Agama dan Budi Pekerti dan memiliki tiga pokok penting yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Perencanaan dilakukan oleh guru dengan mempersiapkan materi dan diri. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran PKV berjalan dengan alur yang seirama dan menggunakan berbagai metode serta media. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengajak peserta didik berefleksi dengan baik dan rapor Vinsensian. Ketiga tahap berjalan dengan baik dan beberapa hambatan dapat diatasi secara terbuka.

This research aims to determine efforts to implement Vincentian Character Education (PKV) at St. Louis 2 Catholic High School Surabaya. This research was motivated by the results of the researcher's observations regarding the uniqueness of St. Louis 2 Catholic High School. Surabaya in living and instilling Vincentian values which is carried out through character education. Character education in schools for students is carried out as an effort to instill good values and overcome juvenile delinquency that continues to emerge.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this research were the principal and teachers who taught PKV at St. Louis 2 Catholic High School Surabaya. The data collection methods used by researchers in this research were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis methods used are condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of Vincentian Character Education (PKV) for students at St. Louis 2 Catholic High School Surabaya is carried out through active learning in the classroom as a separate subject which is integrated with Religious Education and Character Education and has three important points, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Planning is carried out by the teacher by preparing the material and theirself. The implementation of PKV learning runs in a rhythmic flow and uses various methods and media. Evaluation is carried out by inviting students to reflect well and provide Vincentian report cards. All three stages went well and some obstacles were overcome openly.
