Abstract

Patricia Ellen: “Pengembangan Media Cerita Alkitab untuk Bina Iman Anak Katolik Berbasis Pop-up Book”.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan Pop-up Book sebagai media cerita Alkitab bagi bina iman anak Katolik pada materi kisah penciptaan. 2) mengetahui kelayakan Pop-up Book sebagai media cerita Alkitab pada materi kisah penciptaan bagi bina iman anak Katolik. Pengembangan media cerita Alkitab berbasis Pop-up Book dilatarbelakangi adanya kebutuhan media untuk pengenalan Firman Tuhan secara kreatif bagi bina iman anak Katolik.
Penelitian ini termasuk dalam Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan mengacu pada model Borg and Gall. Subjek yang digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian adalah bina iman anak Katolik di Paroki Mater Dei Madiun dan bina iman anak Katolik di Paroki Santo Hilarius Klepu.
Tahapan penelitian meliputi tahapan pengembangan produk media, tahapan validasi ahli materi, ahli media, praktisi, dan tahapan uji coba produk. Tahapaan uji coba produk terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu uji coba terbatas dengan jumlah subjek uji coba 6 anak, tahap uji coba luas dengan jumlah subjek uji coba 16 anak, dan tahap uji coba operasional dengan jumlah subjek uji coba 20 anak. Metode
pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.
Penelitian dan pengembangan Pop-up Book dilakukan melalui sepuluh langkah, yakni penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pegembangan draf produk, uji coba terbatas, tahap revisi produk, tahap uji coba luas, revisi produk
operasional, uji coba operasional, revisi produk akhir, desiminiasi dan implementasi. Hasil penelitian uji kelayakan media cerita Alkitab berbasis Pop-up Book berdasarkan penilaian: 1) Ahli Materi diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,85 yang
termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik”, 2) Ahli Media diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,75 yang termasuk kategori, 3) Uji coba terbatas diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,83 yang termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik”, 4) Uji coba luas diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,82 yang termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik”, 5) Uji coba operasional diperoleh rata-rata skor 4,67 yang termasuk kategori “Sangat Baik”. Dengan demikian media cerita
Alkitab berbasis Pop-up Book pada materi kisah penciptaan dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam bina iman anak Katolik.

Patricia Ellen: “Development of Bible Story Media for Catholic Children's Faith Formation Based on the Pop-up Books.”

This research aims to: 1) develop a Pop-up Book as Bible story media for Catholic children's faith formation on the creation story, and 2) determine the feasibility of the Pop-up Book as Bible story media on the creation story for the
faith formation of Catholic children. The development of Bible story media based on Pop-up Books is motivated by the need for creative media to introduce the Word of God for the faith formation of Catholic children.
This research falls under Research and Development (R&D) and follows the Borg and Gall model. The subjects used as the research sample are Catholic children's faith formation groups at Mater Dei Parish, Madiun and Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu. The research stages include product media development, validation stages by material experts, media experts, practitioners, and product testing stages. The product testing stage consists of three phases: a limited trial with six (6) children, an extensive trial with sixteen (16) children, and an operational trial with twenty (20) children. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques.
The research and development of the Pop-up Book was conducted through ten steps: research and data collection, planning, product draft development,
limited trials, product revision stage, extensive trials, operational product revision, operational trials, final product revision, dissemination, and implementation. The results of the feasibility test of the Bible story media based on the Pop-up Book, according to the evaluations, are as follows: 1) Material Experts obtained an average score of 4.85, categorized as 'Very Good'; 2) Media Experts obtained an average score of 4.75, categorized as 'Very Good'; 3) Limited trials obtained an average score of 4.83,categorized as 'Very Good'; 4) Extensive trials obtained an average score of 4.82, categorized as 'Very Good'; 5) Operational trials obtained an average score of 4.67, categorized as 'Very Good.' Therefore, the Bible story media based on the Pop-up Book on the creation story material is deemed suitable for use in the faith formation of Catholic children.
