Abstract

ABSTRAK
Maria Kumala Mutiara Poto, “Penguatan Identitas Sekolah Katolik Malalui
Program Pastoral Sekolah (Studi Kasus di SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto)”
Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahuai upaya sekolah katolik
terutama SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto dalam proses penguatan identitas
sekolah katolik terlebih melalui program pastoral sekolah. Penelitian ini
dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil pengamatan peneliti terkait penguatan identitas sekolah
katolik melalui program pastoral sekolah yang berjalan di SMAK St.Thomas
Aquino Mojokerto serta keunikan sekolah katolik terutama SMAK St.Thomas
Aquino Mojokerto dalam penanaman nilai-nilai katolik di tengah perkembangan
zaman. Penguatan identitas sekolah katolik diperlukan sebagai salah satu sarana
dalam proses pengintegrasian nilai iman katolik, pengintegrasian nilai katolik
dapat dilakukan melalui program pastoral sekolah yang membantu siswa
mengenal ajaran iman katolik serta dapat membentuk karakter baik pada peserta
didik terutama dalam ajaran gereja katolik.
Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan
metode studi kasus. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian ini ialah kepala sekolah,
guru agama katolik, bapa/ibu karyawan serta peserta didik di SMAK St.Thomas
Aquino Mojokerto. Penulis menggunakan metode pengumpulan data
menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kondensasi, penyajian data serta penarikan
kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya penguatan
identitas sekolah katolik melalui program pastoral sekolah di SMAK St.Thomas
Aquino Mojokerto memiliki beberapa cara yakni; .Megupayakan secara terus
menerus program pastoral sekolah berlajalan dengan konsisten, terstruktur dan
rutin, Melalkukan inovasi-inovasi sebagai unsur kebaruan program pastoral
sekolah, Melakukan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan yang telah dijalankan,
Mensosialisasikannya kepada oranguta tentang pastoral sekolah yang akan
dilaksanakan oleh para peserta didik, Melakukan pengajaran agama katolik yang
mendalam dan meyeluruh kepada peserta didik. Penguatan identitas sekolah
katolik melalui perogram pastoral di SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto
sampai saat ini berjalan dengan baik dan hingga kini kegiatan program pastoral
sekolah di SMAK St.Thomas Aquino terus diterapkan dan selalu dievaluasi
sehingga kegiatan dapat terus-menerus berkembang dan menjadi salah satu
pondasi sekolah katolik SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto.

Through the School Pastoral Program (Case Study at SMAK St.Thomas Aquino
Mojokerto)"
This study aims to find out the efforts of Catholic schools, especially
SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto in the process of strengthening the identity
of Catholic schools, especially through school pastoral programs. This study was
motivated by the results of the researcher's observations related to strengthening
the Catholic school identity through the school pastoral program that runs at
SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto and the uniqueness of Catholic schools,
especially SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto in instilling Catholic values in
the midst of the times. Strengthening the identity of Catholic schools is needed as
a means in the process of integrating Catholic faith values, integrating Catholic
values can be done through school pastoral programs that help students
recognize the teachings of the Catholic faith and can form good character in
students, especially in the teachings of the Catholic church.
In this study the authors used a qualitative approach with a case study
method. The subjects in this study were the principal, Catholic religion teacher,
father/mother employees and students at St. Thomas Aquino Mojokerto High
School. The author uses data collection methods using observation, interviews,
and documentation. The data analysis method used in this research is
condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the efforts to
strengthen the identity of Catholic schools through the school pastoral program
at SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto have several ways, namely; Strive for
continuous school pastoral programs running consistently, structured and
routine, Make innovations as an element of novelty of the school pastoral
program, Evaluate the activities that have been carried out, Socialize it to the
parents about the school pastoral that will be carried out by the students,
Conduct in-depth and thorough teaching of Catholic religion to students.
Strengthening the identity of Catholic schools through pastoral programs at
SMAK St.Thomas Aquino Mojokerto until now is going well and until now the
school pastoral program activities at SMAK St.Thomas Aquino continue to be
implemented and always evaluated so that activities can continue to develop and
become one of the foundations of the Catholic school of SMAK St.Thomas
Aquino Mojokerto.
