Abstract
Sakramen Krisma adalah sakramen pendewasaan iman dalam Gereja. Sakramen ini dapat diberikan kepada umat beriman Katolik yang telah berusia 14 tahun dan sudah menerima sakramen Baptis dan Ekaristi. Kaum muda yang telah menerima sakramen Krisma diberi tugas dan tanggung jawab mewartakan Injil melalui perkataan dan perbuatan. Pewartaan Injil ini dapat dilakukan melalui keterlibatan aktif kaum muda memajukan Gereja maupun masyarakat. Sebagian kecil kaum muda di Paroki Sakramen Mahakudus telah menghayati imannya secara nyata melalui keterlibatan aktif dalam hidup menggereja dan bermasyarakat. Peneliti menjadi tertarik melakukan penelitian terhadap kelompok kecil kaum muda ini, karena kaum muda ini dapat menjadi inspirasi dan motivasi kaum muda lainnya untuk bersama-sama menghayati imannya secara nyata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menganalisis bagaimana kaum muda memahami dan menghayati sakramen Krisma secara nyata dalam hidup sehari-hari.
Karya ilmiah ini dikerjakan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Tenik pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu teknik wawancara individual. Wawancara ini dilakukan kepada informan yaitu kaum muda yang sudah menerima sakramen Krisma. Pemilihan informan ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Paroki Sakramen Mahakudus, Surabaya.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh (100%) informan berpendapat bahwa sakramen Krisma ialah sakramen yang mendewasakan dan menguatkan iman seseorang. Kemudian, mayoritas (85,71) informan menyatakan penghayatan kaum muda terhadap arti dan makna sakramen Krisma dalam kehidupan sehari-hari terungkap melalui keterlibatan aktif kaum muda dalam kehidupan menggereja dan sosial kemasyarakatan. Hasil penelitian juga mengungkapkan mayoritas (71,42%) informan mengakui bahwa pembinaan dan pengajaran tentang sakramen Krisma yang dilakukan para pembina membantu kaum muda lebih memahami dan menghayati arti dan makna sakramen Krisma dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the sacrament of maturing faith in the Church. This sacrament can be given to Catholic faithful who are 14 years old and have received the sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist. Young people who have received the Confirmation sacrament are given the task and responsibility of spreading the Gospel through words and deeds. Evangelization can be done through the active involvement of young people in advancing the Church and society. A small number of young people in the Blessed Sacrament Parish have actually lived their faith through active involvement in church and community life. Researchers became interested in conducting research on this small group of young people, because these young people can be an inspiration and motivation for other young people to live their faith together in a real way. The purpose of this study is to analyze how young people understand and live the sacrament of Confirmation in a real way in their daily lives.
This scientific work is done using qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques used by researchers are individual interview techniques. This interview was conducted with informants, namely young people who have received the sacrament of Confirmation. The selection of these informants used a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted at the Sakramen Mahakudus Parish, Surabaya.
The results of study showed that all (100%) informants believed that the sacrament of Confirmation is a sacrament that matures and strengthens the Catholic faithful. Then, the majority (85.71) of informants stated that the appreciation of young people towards the meaning and significance of the sacrament of Confirmation in everyday life was revealed through the active involvement of young people in the Catholic church and social life. Moreover, the results of the study revealed that majority (71.42%) of informants acknowledged that coaching and teaching about the sacrament of Confirmation by teachers helped young people to have better understand and live up to the meaning and significance of the sacrament of Confirmation in everyday life.
