Armando Etchevery Ginting, Jambur, Konflik Sosial dan Solusi Dalam Kehidupan Bersama Pada Warga Desa Sukadame, Kecamatan Tigapanah, Kabupaten Karo
Jambur merupakan bangunan besar khas masyarakat suku Karo. Bangunan Jambur berfungsi sebagai tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan tradisi adat istiadat dan sosial kemsayrakatan. Jambur didirikan untuk memenuhi keinginan masyarakat Karo yang sangat gemar melakukan berbagai pesta ataupun perayaan seperti, pesta pernikahan, pesta tahunan, pesta memasuki rumah baru dan pesta syukuran lainnya. Jambur menjadi salah satu simbol identitas suku Karo, sebab bangunan Jambur dapat ditemukan di setiap desa di Kabupaten Karo, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Para leluhur suku Karo mendirikan Jambur dengan tujuan yang begitu mulia yakni menyediakan tempat bagi warga desa untuk saling bertemu, bekerja sama, bersosialisasi dan mempererat hubungan satu dengan yang lain.
Sejak tahun 1964 sampai 2023 bangunan Jambur Sukadame berfungsi sebagai pemersatu masyarakat desa Sukadame. Meskipun demikian, dewasa ini peneliti mengamati bahwa sering terjadi konflik dan ketegangan antara warga masyarakat desa Sukadame karena Jambur. Konflik ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu: pertama, terjadinya benturan terkait jadwal penggunaan Jambur; Kedua, fasilitas dapur Jambur seperti parang, kapak, kuali, piring, sendok dan lain-lain sering digunakan umat beragama Katolik dan Protestan untuk membunuh, memasak dan menghidangkan daging babi dan anjing sehingga menuai konflik antara umat beragama Islam dan Kristen; ketiga, tanggungjawab terhadap kebersihan penggunaan Jambur seringkali diabaikan pengguna Jambur. Konflik sosial ini mengancam kerukunan dan persekutuan warga desa Sukadame. Bertitik tolak dari permasalahan ini, maka peneliti tertarik melakukan sebuah penelitian dengan judul Jambur, Konflik Sosial dan Solusi Dalam Kehidupan Bersama Pada Warga Desa Sukadame, Kecamatan Tigapanah, Kabupaten Karo.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dan data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara perorangan secara online. Responden penelitian terdiri dari 7 orang dari desa Sukadame. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain menjelaskan hakekat Jambur dan sejauh mana kehadiran Jambur membawa persekutuan dan kerukunan bagi warga desa Sukadame.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para responden sungguh-sungguh menyadari makna Jambur sebagai salah satu sarana pemersatu warga desa Sukadame. Hasil penelitian juga mengungkapkan bahwa warga desa Sukadame terus berupaya memelihara dan merawat Jambur dan tetap melestarikan tardisi dan adat istiadat suku Karo melalui kegiatan pesta tahunan, ibadat syukuran, perayaan natal bersama dan lain-lain.

ABSTRACT
Armando Etchevery Ginting, Jambur, Social Conflict and Solutions in Living Together in Residents of Sukadame Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency.
Jambur is a large building typical of the Karo people. The Jambur building functions as a place for carrying out any traditional social and cultural activities. Jambur was founded to fulfill the wishes of the Karo people who are very fond of holding various parties or celebrations such as weddings, annual parties, entering a new house and other thanksgiving parties. Jambur is one of the symbols of Karo ethnic identity. It is because Jambur buildings can be found in any villages in Karo District, North Sumatra Province. The ancestors of the Karo tribe founded Jambur with a noble purpose as to provide a place for villagers to meet, work together in order to strengthen their relationships.
From 1964 to 2023 the Jambur building in Sukadame village has served as a unifier for the residents of Sukadame village. However, nowadays researcher observes that conflict and tensions often occur among residents in Sukadame village because of Jambur. This conflict was caused by several factors. Firstly, the occurrence of a conflict related to the Jambur usage schedule. Secondly, Jambur's kitchen facilities such as machetes, axes, cauldrons, plates, spoons and others are often used by Catholics and Protestants to kill, cook and serve pork and dog meat. This is resulting in conflicts between Muslims and Christians. Thirdly, lack of responsibility of Jambur users related to Jambur cleanliness. This social conflict has so far threatened the harmony and fellowship of the Sukadame villagers. Starting from this problem, the researcher is interested in conducting a study entitled Jambur, Social Conflict and Solutions in Living Together in Residents of Sukadame Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency.
This study used qualitative research methods, and research data was collected by online individual interviews. The research respondents consisted of seven (7) people from Sukadame village. The purpose of study is to explain the nature of Jambur, and to explore the extent to which Jambur could bring fellowship and harmony for the residents of Sukadame village.
The results of study showed that the respondents really realized the meaning of Jambur as a means of unifying the residents of Sukadame village. The results of the study also indicated that the residents of Sukadame village continue to maintain and preserve the traditions and customs of the Karo tribe through annual parties, thanksgiving services, Christmas celebrations and others in Jambur.
