Andi: “Relevansi Spiritualitas Yohanes Pembaptis Bagi Katekis Dalam Mewartakan Injil”

Spiritualitas adalah hal penting yang dimiliki bagi seorang pewarta. Spiritualitas merupakan akar kekuatan yang memberikan kemampuan kepada setiap pribadi dalam melakukan tugas dan tanggung jawab yang diemban. Spiritualitas merupakan roh, jiwa, semangat, keintiman seseorang hidup di dalam Roh Allah.
Yohanes pembaptis adalah salah satu sosok nabi yang sangat terkenal mempunyai spiritualitas dalam mewartakan Injil. Dewasa sekarang ini ada indikasi semakin rendahnya spiritualitas dalam melayani. Katekis hanya melayani secara formalitas tanpa menghayati panggilan mereka yang sesungguhnya sebagai pewarta Injil Yesus Kristus. Masalahnya: semangat Yohanes Pembaptis apakah sudah dihidupi dan dimiliki oleh para katekis dalam mewartakan Injil di zaman sekarang? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab permasalahan yang dihadapi katekis masa kini.
Nilai-nilai spiritualitas Yohanes Pembaptis memiliki relevansi yang besar bagi katekis sebagai pewarta Injil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat kajian kepustakaan (library research) dengan mengumpulkan berbagai jenis data yang relevan serta yang sudah dipublikasikan seperti buku-buku, jurnal, artikel, karya tulis ilmiah, Kitab Suci, dan internet. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan diantaranya teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data penyajian data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data (data display) dan terakhir penarikan kesimpulan dari semua data yang dikumpulkan melalui berbagai proses tahapan.
Katekis sebagai pewarta Injil di zaman dunia dewasa ini sungguh-sungguh mengalami tantangan yang menghambat karya pewartannya. Oleh karena itu Katekis sangat membutuhkan spiritualitas, semangat, daya juang tinggi, Roh Kudus, rendah hati, dan totalitas. Yohanes Pembaptis sebagai seorang pewarta yang mempersiapkan kedatangan dan pembuka jalan bagi sang Mesias, sangat cocok dijadikan sebagai teladan dalam hidup para katekis zaman sekarang yang sungguh-sungguh membutuhkan suntikan spiritualitas dalam mewartakan Injil

Andi: "The Relevance of the Spirituality of John the Baptist to Catechists in Proclaiming the Gospel"

Spirituality is an essential aspect for a preacher. Spirituality serves as the root of strength that empowers individuals to fulfil their tasks and responsibilities. It encompasses the essence, soul, spirit, and intimacy of a person's life within the Spirit of God.
John the Baptist is one of the renowned prophets who had a profound spirituality in proclaiming the Gospel. Currently, there is an indication of a declining spirituality in service of preaching the Good News. Catechists often serve merely out of formality without truly embracing their calling as preachers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The problem encountered is: whether the spirit of John the Baptist is being lived out and possessed by catechists in proclaiming the Gospel in the present era. This research aims to address the challenges faced by modern-era catechists.
The spiritual values of John the Baptist hold a significant relevance for catechists as preachers of the Gospel. This research is a qualitative study conducted through a literature review (library research) by collecting various types of relevant data that have been published, such as books, journals, articles, academic papers, Scriptures, and internet sources. This research method is carried out through several stages, including data collection using documentation techniques. Subsequently, data analysis is performed through data reduction, data display, and, finally, drawing conclusions from all the data collected through various stages of the process.
Catechists, as preachers of the Gospel in the present world, indeed face significant challenges that hinder their work of proclamation. Therefore, catechists greatly need spirituality, high spirit, high perseverance, the Holy Spirit, humility, and totality in their mission assignments. John the Baptist, as a preacher who prepared the way for the Messiah, is indeed a fitting role model for catechists in the present era who genuinely need an infusion of spirituality in proclaiming the Gospel.
