Darta Prima Sembiring, “Seni Musik Sebagai Sarana Berkatekese Di Paroki-Paroki Sekevikepan Madiun”

Seni musik merupakan sebuah alat yang memiliki suara dan disusun secara teratur dengan unsur-unsur musik itu sendiri. Salah satu fungsi musik adalah menjadi alat untuk menyampaikan pengajaran melalui lirik lagu, sebab musik dapat menghadirkan pesan dan penyadaran bagi pendengarnya. Katekese merupakan pengajaran iman yang diberikan kepada seluruh umat dengan tujuan membantu mendewasakan iman umat dan membantu umat untuk lebih dekat dengan Allah. Berdasarkan pengalaman penulis pada waktu pastoral paroki, penulis menggunakan musik sebagai sarana berkatekese dan dapat diterima dengan baik oleh para pendengarnya. Sebab musik membantu memudahkan peserta katekese untuk mendapatkan pesan serta pengajaran. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, muncul pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana musik dapat menjadi sarana berkatekese. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bahwa seni musik dapat digunakan sebagai sarana berkatekese secara efektif dan efisien.
Teknik analisa data menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam yang dilaksanakan di paroki-paroki Kevikepan Madiun. Responden dari penelitian ini berjumlah tujuh (7) orang yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling atau pemilihan responden yang mempertimbangkan kriteria yang ditentukan oleh peneliti.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden cukup mengetahui mengenai seni musik, responden mengungkapkan bahwa seni musik merupakan kumpulan alat yang memiliki suara yang dikolaborasikan dengan unsur-unsur di dalamnya, sehingga menghasilkan harmoni yang indah. Responden memahami bahwa katekese merupakan pengajaran iman, yang diberikan secara organis dan sistematis kepada seluruh umat yang berfungsi sebagai pengajaran iman dari Sabda Allah. Responden memahami bahwa seni musik dapat digunakan sebagai sarana berkatekese melalui buku nyanyian liturgi Katolik.

Darta Prima Sembiring, “The Art of Music as a Means of Catechesis in the Parish of Madiun Vicariate”
The art of music is a tool that has sound and is arranged regularly with the elements of the music itself. One of the functions of music is to become a tool to convey teaching through song lyrics because music can present messages and awareness to listeners. Catechism is a teaching of faith given to all people with the aim of helping to mature the faith of the people and helping people to get closer to God. Based on the author's experience during the parish pastoral period, the author uses music as a means of catechesis and can be well received by his listeners. Because music helps make it easier for catechesis participants to get messages and teachings. Based on this background, the question arises about how music can be a means of catechesis. This study aims to describe that the art of music can be used as a means of catechesis effectively and efficiently.
The data analysis technique used a qualitative approach. Data was collected by using in-depth interview techniques which were carried out in the parishes of the Madiun Kevikepan. Respondents from this study amounted to seven (7) people who were selected using a purposive sampling technique or the selection of respondents who took into account the criteria determined by the researcher.
The results showed that the respondents knew enough about the art of music, respondents revealed that the art of music is a collection of instruments that have a sound that collaborated with the elements in it, so as to produce a beautiful harmony. Respondents understood that catechesis is a teaching of the faith, which is given organically and systematically to all people and functions as a teaching of faith from the Word of God. Respondents understand that music can be used as a means of catechesis through Catholic liturgical hymnbooks.
