Abstract
Ira Mardila: Pandangan Pasutri Katolik Tentang Manfaat Kursus Persiapan Perkawinan (Studi Terhadap Pasutri Katolik Yang Melangsungkan Pernikahan Adat Sebelum Menerima Sakramen)
Sebelum menjalani perkawinan Katolik setiap calon pasangan suami istri dipersiapkan secara matang melalui kursus persiapan perkawinan kemudian melangsungkan pernikahan sakramen. Namun, fenomena yang terjadi di stasi St. Lukas Teluk Batu Paroki Kanak-Kanak Yesus Marau saat ini adalah banyak pasangan suami istri yang menikah secara adat terlebih dahulu sebelum mengikuti Kursus Persiapan Perkawinan dan menikah secara sakramen. Hal ini menjadi keprihatinan penulis sehingga menimbulkan beberapa pertanyaan yaitu bagaimana pandangan pasutri Katolik yang pernah melangsungkan pernikahan adat Kendawangan sebelum pernikahan sakramen tentang manfaat Kursus Persiapan Perkawinan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan pandangan pasutri Katolik tentang manfaat Kursus Persiapan Perkawinan. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara kepada 10 pasangan suami istri atau 20 orang responden yang dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di stasi St. Lukas Teluk Batu, Paroki Kanak-Kanak Yesus Marau.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa pada umumnya pasangan suami istri melihat Kursus Persiapan Perkawinan ini bermanfaat bagi kehidupan perkawinan mereka. Manfaat yang sering dirasakan responden adalah membantu mereka berkomunikasi dalam keluarga, membantu dalam mendidik anak secara Katolik, dan mereka mengetahui sifat perkawinan Katolik. Hasil penelitian juga menemukan bahwa pada umumnya pasangan suami istri telah melangsungkan pernikahan adat terlebih dahulu sebelum pernikahan sakramen. Adapun alasan terjadinya hal tersebut yaitu karena tradisi adat dan hamil di luar nikah. Saat ini, mereka semua telah melangsungkan pernikahan sakramen. Hal ini mereka lakukan dengan tujuan agar pernikahan mereka diakui oleh Gereja dan negara

Ira Mardila: A Catholic Couple's View on the Benefits of a Marriage Preparation Course (Study of Catholic Couples Who Perform Traditional Marriages Before Receiving the Sacraments)
Before undergoing a Catholic marriage, each prospective husband and wife is carefully prepared through a marriage preparation course and then carries out a sacramental marriage. However, the phenomenon that occurred at the St. Lukas Teluk Batu Parish of Kanak-Kanak Yesus Marau today are many married couples who are married in a traditional way before taking the Marriage Preparation Course and getting married in a sacramental manner. This is a concern for the author, which raises several questions, namely what is the view of a Catholic couple who had a traditional Kendawangan wedding before a sacrament marriage about the benefits of the Marriage Preparation Course.
This study aims to describe the views of Catholic couples about the benefits of the Marriage Preparation Course. To achieve this goal, the researcher used a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews with 10 married couples or 20 respondents who were selected by purposive sampling. This research was carried out at the St. Luke Teluk Batu, Parish of Kanak-Kanak Yesus Marau
Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that in general, married couples see this Marriage Preparation Course as beneficial for their married life. The benefits that respondents often feel are that it helps them communicate in the family, helps in educating their children in a Catholic way, and they know the nature of Catholic marriage. The results of the study also found that in general, married couples had held traditional marriages before sacramental marriages. The reason for this is because of traditional traditions and pregnancy out of wedlock. By now, they had all performed a sacramental marriage. This they do with the aim that their marriage is recognized by the Church and the state
