Abstract
Berkat pembaptiasan, umat beriman Kristen bersatu dengan Kristus dan menjadi anggota Gereja serta dipanggil untuk melaksanakan perutusan yang dipercayakan Allah kepada Gereja di dalam kehidupan yang nyata di dunia ini. Oleh karena itu, tidak sedikit orang beriman, termasuk juga kaum awam, terlibat di didalam aneka bentuk karya kerasulan Gereja. Salah satu karya kerasulan awam di bidang rohani adalah Legio Maria yang bertujuan untuk memuliakan Allah dan menguduskan para anggotanya. Di paroki St. Cornelius, Madiun terdapat Presidium Bunda Gereja.
Bertitik tolak dari latar belakang di atas, maka dirumuskan berbagai permasalahan berikut: Apakah spiritualitas Legio Maria? Bagaimana Penghayatan Spiritualitas Legio Maria dalam hidup para Legioner Presidium Bunda Gereja di Paroki St. Cornelius, Madiun? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan: Spiritualitas Legio Maria dan Penghayatan Spiritualitas Legio Maria oleh Legioner PBG di Paroki St. Cornelius, Madiun.
Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara langsung di lapangan kepada 4 orang responden yang terdiri dari 1 orang ketua Presidium Bunda Gereja, 1 orang sekretaris Presidium Bunda Gereja, dan 2 orang anggota dari Presidium Bunda Gereja. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Paroki St. Cornelius Madiun pada tanggal 16-20 Juni 2021.
Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa: Spiritualitas Legio Maria adalah Ekaristi Kudus, devosi kepada Bunda Maria, dengan meneladani Bunda Maria: kerendahan hatinya, kesetiaannya, ketaatannya, kesederhanaannya serta doanya, dan sabda Allah. Adapun penghayatan Spiritualitas Legio Maria yang dihayati oleh para legioner PBG dalam hidup mereka sehari-hari memiliki begitu banyak perwujudan. Perwujudan pertama dengan cara berdoa dalam arti khusus berdoa rosario, berdoa salam Maria, berdoa kerahiman. Mewujudkan pelayanan kepada sesama dengan kunjungan, mengunjungai orang yang sudah lansia dan mereka yang membutuhkan pendampingan. Selain itu menghayati Spiritualitas Legio Maria ditunjukkan dengan sikap hidup yaitu: rendah hati dan yakin. Separuh dari responden menghayati Spiritualitas Legio Maria di dalam kehidupan mereka sehari-hari yaitu: dengan mengikuti misa di Gereja, misa online, dan misa harian.

Through the baptism, the Christian faithful are incorporatedin Christ and become members of the Church. All of them are called to take part in the Church’s mission in their daily lives. Therefore, all believers involve themselves in various apostolic works of the Church. One of the lay apostolic works is the Legion of Mary which aims to glorify God and sanctify its members. In the St. Cornelius Parish, Madiun, there is the Presidium of the Mother of the Church.
Based on the above background, the following statement of the problems are formulated: What is the spirituality of the Legion of Mary? How to Live the Spirituality of the Legion of Mary in the lives of the Legionaries of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church in St. Cornelius Parish, Madiun? This study aims to describe: The Spirituality of the Legion of Mary and the Spirituality of the Legion of Mary is lived by Legionaries of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church in the St. Cornelius Parish, Madiun.
To achieve this goal the researcher used qualitative methods, by collecting data through direct interviews to 4 respondents consisting of 1 president of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church, 1 secretary of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church, and 2 members of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church. This research was conducted in the St. Cornelius Parish, Madiun on 16-20 June 2021.
This study concludes that: The spirituality of the Legion of Mary is the Holy Eucharist, devotion to the Virgin Mary, by imitating the Virgin Mary: her humility, her fidelity, her obedience, her simplicity and her prayers, and the word of God. As for the appreciation of the Spirituality of the Legion of Mary which is lived by the legionaries of the Presidium of the Mother of the Church in their daily lives, there are so many manifestations. The first manifestation is by praying: the rosary, the Hail Mary, the hour of mercy prayer. Realizing services to others by visiting, the elderly and those who need assistance. In addition, living the Spirituality of the Legion of Mary is shown by an attitude of life, namely: humility and confidence. Half of the respondents live the Spirituality of the Legion of Mary in their daily lives, namely: by attending church mass, online mass, and daily mass.
