Abstract
Lingkungan Santo Gilles Asisi adalah salah satu lingkungan di Paroki Mater Dei, Madiun. Pelindung Paroki ini adalah Maria Bunda Allah. Gelar Maria sebagai Bunda Allah sampai saat ini masih banyak menimbulkan pro dan kontra di kalangan umat Allah sendiri. Oleh sebab itu, muncullah beberapa pertanyaan terkait dengan hal ini, yaitu bagaimana ajaran Gereja mengenai Maria Bunda Allah dan juga bagaimana pandangan umat lingkungan Santo Gilles Asisi, Paroki Mater Dei, Madiun tentang Maria Bunda Allah.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami dan menguraikan ajaran Gereja tentang Maria Bunda Allah dan mendeskripsikan pandangan Umat Lingkungan Santo Gilles Asisi, Paroki Mater Dei, Madiun Tentang Maria Bunda Alah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pemilihan responden dengan menggunakan purposive sampling, sedangkan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara.
Penelitian ini menghasilkan dua kesimpulan. Pertama, Gereja mengimani dan mengajarkan dengan jelas dan tegas bahwa Maria adalah Bunda Allah. Hal ini termuat dalam Kitab Suci, Lumen Gentium, Redemptoris Mater, Mulieris Dignitatem, dan Katekismus Gereja Katolik. Kedua, umat Lingkungan Santo Gilles Asisi, Paroki Mater Dei, Madiun menerima dan mengakui bahwa Maria adalah Bunda Allah. Selain itu mereka juga memiliki pandangan atau pemahaman cukup baik tentang Maria Bunda Allah, bahkan, mereka begitu menghormati Maria, Bunda Allah baik dalam perayaan liturgi Gereja maupun dalam devosi.

The Saint Gilles Asisi Basic Ecclesial Community is one of the Basic Ecclesial Community in Parish Mater Dei, Madiun. The patron of this parish is Mary, Mother of God. Until now, the title of Mary as Mother of God has caused many pros and cons among God's own people. Therefore, several questions arise in this regard, how the Church teaches about Mary, Mother of God and also how the perception of Saint Gilles Asisi Basic Ecclesial Community of Mater Dei Parish, Madiun about Mary, Mother of God.
This study aims to explore and elaborate on the teachings of the Church about Mary, Mother of God and describe the perception of the Saint Gilles Asisi Basic Ecclesial Community of Mater Dei Parish, Madiun about Mary, Mother of God. Therefore, to achieve these objectives, this study uses qualitative methods. The selection of respondents are using purposive sampling, while data collection is done through interviews.
This study produces two conclusions. First, the Church has faith and teaches clearly and unequivocally that Mary is the Mother of God. This is contained in the Bible, Lumen Gentium, Redemptoris Mater, Mulieris Dignitatem, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Second, the Saint Gilles Asisi Basic Ecclesial Community of Mater Dei Parish, Madiun accept and acknowledge that Mary is the Mother of God. In addition, they also have a fairly good perception or understanding of Mary, the Mother of God, in fact, they have great respect for Mary, the Mother of God both in the liturgical celebration of the Church and in devotion.
