PENGALAMAN DAN PERSEPSI SISWA NON-KATOLIK DALAM MENGIKUTI KEGIATAN KATOLISITAS DI SMPK 3 YOS SOEDARSO BLITAR

Keberadaan siswa non-Katolik di sekolah berciri khas Katolik memberikan pengalaman yang unik dalam mengikuti berbagai kegiatan katolisitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan pengalaman siswa non-Katolik di sekolah Katolik, memaparkan kegiatan katolisitas, serta mengetahui Pengalaman dan persepsi siswa non-Katolik dalam mengikuti kegiatan katolisitas di SMPK 3 Yos Soedarso Blitar.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan informan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, yang terdiri atas sebelas (11) siswa non-Katolik kelas VIII dan IX. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa non-Katolik memiliki pengalaman yang umumnya positif selama belajar di SMPK 3 Yos Soedarso Blitar. Kegiatan katolisitas dilaksanakan secara terstruktur dan meliputi Bible Time, Ekaristi atau Misa, doa Rosario, doa Angelus, Jalan Salib, pendalaman iman, kegiatan sosial, dan kegiatan lainnya. Siswa non-Katolik dapat mengikuti kegiatan tersebut dengan baik tanpa merasa didiskriminasi. Keterlibatan dalam kegiatan katolisitas tidak menggoyahkan keyakinan agama mereka, tetapi memberikan manfaat berupa kedisiplinan, kepercayaan diri, relasi sosial, toleransi, serta sikap menghargai perbedaan.

Abel Pascal Herlambang: “Non-Catholic Students’ Perceptions of Participating in Catholic Activities at SMPK 3 Yos Soedarso Blitar”

The presence of non-Catholic students in a Catholic school provides a unique experience in participating in various Catholic activities. This study aims to describe the experiences of non-Catholic students in a Catholic school, present the Catholic activities, and identify non-Catholic students’ perceptions of participating in Catholic activities at SMPK 3 Yos Soedarso Blitar.
This study employed a qualitative method with informants selected through purposive sampling, consisting of eleven (11) non-Catholic students from grades VIII and IX. Data were collected through structured interviews and documentation, then analysed using the Miles and Huberman model.
The results showed that non-Catholic students generally had positive experiences while studying at SMPK 3 Yos Soedarso Blitar. Catholic activities were conducted in a structured manner and included Bible Time, Eucharistic celebrations or Mass, the Rosary, Angelus prayer, Stations of the Cross, faith formation, social activities, and other activities. Non-Catholic students were able to participate without feeling discriminated against. Their participation did not weaken their religious beliefs but provided benefits such as discipline, self-confidence, social relationships, tolerance, and respect for differences.
