Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami peranan orang tua dalam pendidikan iman anak dan pembentukan sikap kasih sayang anak kepada Allah dan sesama serta menganalisis tantangan dan solusi terkait pendidikan iman anak dalam keluarga Katolik. Pendidikan iman dalam keluarga Katolik tidak hanya memberi pengetahuan tentang iman kepada anak tetapi juga membentuk sikap kasih sayang anak kepada Allah dan sesama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara langsung dengan informan yang dipilih secara purposif dari Wilayah II Paroki St. Yosef Mojokerto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan iman dalam keluarga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembentukan sikap kasih sayang anak kepada Allah dan sesama. Meskipun demikian, orang tua masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti kesibukan pekerjaan, keterbatasan waktu untuk berkumpul bersama keluarga, keterbatasan pengetahuan orang tua tentang iman, dan kemalasan dalam diri anak. Menghadapi tantangan ini orang tua terus berusaha melakukan pendidikan iman dalam keluarga melalui kegiatan doa bersama dalam keluarga, menghadiri perayaan Ekaristi bersama anggota keluarga, meningkatkan komunikasi dan sikap saling pengertian antar anggota keluarga. Kata Kunci: keluarga Katolik, pendidikan iman, sikap kasih sayang, peran orang tua, anak ==================================== ABSTRACT Silvia Paskalita: “Catholic Faith Education in the Family and Children Loving Attitudes Formation Toward God and Others" The Catholic family is the first and foremost institution of Catholic faith education. In the family, parents have an irreplaceable role in educating the Catholic faith of their children. The research aims to explore the role of parents in children's faith education and the formation of children's loving attitudes towards God and others, as well as to analyze the challenges and solutions related to children's faith education in Catholic families. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data was collected through direct interviews with informants selected purposively at Region II of the St. Joseph Parish, Mojokerto. The results of the research show that Catholic faith education in the family has a significant influence on the formation of children's loving attitudes towards God and others. However, parents are continuously facing some challenges, such as occupational busyness, time limitations to gather with the family, limited knowledge of the parents regarding the Catholic faith, and laziness in children. Facing these challenges, parents continuously try their best to provide Catholic faith education for their children by encouraging their children to join prayer activities in the family, attending Eucharist celebrations in the Church, and increasing communication and mutual understanding among the family members.
