Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui participant observation moderate dan semi terstructure interview terhadap delapan orang asisten imam aktif yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling dari lima wilayah dan tiga stasi di Paroki Santo Cornelius Madiun. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses data collection, data condensation, data display, dan conslusions drawing/verifying. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asisten imam Paroki Santo Cornelius Madiun Keuskupan Surabaya memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai hidup doa sebagai relasi hidup dengan Allah, nafas rohani, kebutuhan, dan sumber kekuatan pelayanan yang berakar pada Sakramen Baptis, Sakramen Krisma, dan teladan Yesus Kristus. Penghayatan hidup doa diwujudkan melalui kebiasaan doa harian, partisipasi dalam liturgi, devosi, dan doa bersama, serta kesadaran diri sebagai pendoa yang harus diperjuangkan. Perwujudan hidup doa dalam pelayanan tampak dalam tugas liturgis seperti membagikan Komuni Kudus, mengirimkan komuni kepada orang sakit, lansia, dan tahanan, memimpin ibadat sabda tanpa imam, memimpin ibadat seputar kematian, serta mendampingi imam dalam pelayanan Sakramen Pengurapan orang sakit. Perwujudan hidup doa sebagai orang Katolik tampak dalam kehidupan keluarga, Gereja, dan masyarakat melalui keteladanan doa, pendidikan iman, keterlibatan menggereja, dan kesaksian hidup. Faktor pendukung ketekunan hidup doa meliputi kesadaran akan penyertaan Tuhan, rasa syukur, kekuatan Roh Kudus, pengalaman mukjizat, dukungan keluarga, dan komunitas asisten imam, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi kelelahan fisik, usia, kejenuhan rohani, rasa malas, kondisi kesehatan, dinamika konflik dalam keluarga, kesibukan pekerjaan, rendahnya partisipasi umat, dan faktor eksternal dari umat yang dilayani yang mulai meninggalkan praktik doa devosi. Dengan demikian, integrasi hidup doa dan pelayanan menunjukkan bahwa hidup doa merupakan fondasi yang tidak terpisahkan dari pelayanan asisten imam dan menjadi sumber kekuatan yang membantu asisten imam melaksanakan pelayanan dengan tulus, setia, dan bertanggung jawab. Marcellinus Derry Berlianto: The Integration of Prayer Life and Ministry among Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: A Case Study of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Saint Cornelius Parish, Madiun, Diocese of Surabaya This study aims to explore and explain the understanding of prayer life among Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Saint Cornelius Parish, Madiun, and to describe the process of integrating prayer life and ministry, both in their roles as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and as Catholics in the parish community. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through moderate participant observation and semi- structured interviews with eight active Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, selected from five parish areas and three outstations within Saint Cornelius Parish, Madiun, using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis was conducted through four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion at Saint Cornelius Parish, Madiun, Diocese of Surabaya, have a sound understanding of prayer life as a living relationship with God, spiritual breath, a fundamental need, and a source of strength for ministry. Their understanding is rooted in the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, as well as the example of Jesus Christ. Their prayer life is expressed through daily prayer, participation in the liturgy, devotional practices, and communal prayer, together with a conscious commitment to cultivating a life of prayer. The integration of prayer life into their ministry is evident in their liturgical duties, and leading prayer services for the deceased, and assisting priests in administering the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. The integration of prayer life into their lives as Catholics is reflected in their family, Church, and community life through the example they set in prayer, faith formation, and active participation in Church life, and the witness of their daily lives. Factors that support perseverance in prayer include an awareness of God's presence, gratitude, and the strength of the Holy Spirit. Meanwhile, obstacles to a consistent prayer life include physical fatigue, aging, spiritual dryness, lack of motivation, health conditions, family conflicts, work commitments, and low levels of participation among the faithful. Therefore, the integration of prayer life and ministry demonstrates that prayer is an inseparable foundation of the ministry of Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. It serves as a source of strength that enables them to carry out their ministry with sincerity, faithfulness, and a sense of responsibility.
