Kondisi ini menyebabkan banyak siswa mengikuti kegiatan Katolisitas hanya karena formalitas atau tekanan dari lingkungan, bukan karena motivasi intrinsik yang mendalam. Padahal, motivasi memiliki peran krusial terhadap keberhasilan akademik maupun perkembangan iman siswa. Dengan ini penelitian dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji dan memahami motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan Katolisitas di SMK Katolik Santo Yusup Blitar, serta mendorong perkembangan pribadi dan spiritualitas mereka. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi di SMK Katolik Santo Yusup Blitar. Pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria siswa beragama Katolik yang telah mengikuti kegiatan Katolisitas minimal satu tahun dan mewakili masing-masing jurusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan Katolisitas masih didominasi oleh faktor ekstrinsik, seperti kewajiban sekolah, harapan guru dan pengaruh teman sebaya. Meskipun demikian, motivasi intrinsik mulai tumbuh dan berkembang seiring dengan keterlibatan siswa yang semakin aktif dalam kegiatan tersebut. Faktor-faktor yang mendorong pertumbuhan motivasi intrinsik antara lain pengalaman rohani yang bermakna, relasi yang hangat dengan sesama, serta rasa memiliki terhadap komunitas iman di sekolah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan Katolisitas memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk motivasi dan karakter spiritual siswa. Namun untuk memaksimalkan dampaknya, kegiatan Katolisitas masih memerlukan pengembangan dalam pendekatan dan variasi program agar lebih mampu menumbuhkan keterlibatan yang bermakna dari dalam diri siswa. This situation leads many students to participate in Catholic activities simply out of formality or environmental pressure, rather than out of deep intrinsic motivation. However, motivation plays a crucial role in both academic success and the development of students' faith. This research was conducted with the aim of examining and understanding students' motivations in participating in Catholic activities at the Saint Yusup Catholic Vocational School in Blitar, as well as encouraging their personal and spiritual development. The data analysis method used in this study was qualitative. The research was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques at the Saint Yusup Catholic Vocational School in Blitar. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, with the criteria being Catholic students who had participated in Catholic activities for at least one year and who represented each major. The research results show that students' motivation to participate in Catholicism activities is still dominated by extrinsic factors, such as school obligations, teacher expectations, and peer influence. However, intrinsic motivation begins to grow and develop as students become more actively involved in these activities. Factors that encourage the growth of intrinsic motivation include meaningful spiritual experiences, warm relationships with others, and a sense of belonging to the school's faith community. This indicates, that Catholicism activities have significant potential to shape students' spiritual motivation and character. However, to maximize their impact, Catholicism activities still require development in their approach and program variations to better foster meaningful engagement within students.
