Bora, Lediana Lihadia: “Pemahaman Mahasiswa STKIP Widya Yuwana tentang Semangat Kurban Diri dalam Ekaristi”.

Ekaristi adalah sumber dan puncak seluruh kehidupan Kristiani yang menghadirkan kembali kurban salib Kristus demi keselamatan manusia. Namun, di tengah arus zaman yang individualis, para mahasiswa dihadapkan pada tantangan modern berupa penurunan konsistensi spiritualitas, kejenuhan rutinitas akademik, serta kecenderungan mudah putus asa saat menghadapi kesulitan. Meskipun STKIP Widya Yuwana telah memfasilitasi jadwal rutin berekaristi, realitas tantangan zaman tersebut memicu pertanyaan penting mengenai sejauh mana mahasiswa calon katekis masih mampu melihat dan menghayati nilai pengurbanan diri Kristus di tengah kesibukan studi mereka. Berdasarkan persoalan tersebut, rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah pemahaman mahasiswa STKIP Widya Yuwana tentang semangat pengurbanan diri dalam Ekaristi, dan bagaimanakah mereka mewujudnyatakan semangat tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai semangat kurban diri dalam Ekaristi sekaligus mengidentifikasi bentuk implementasi nyatanya dalam dinamika kehidupan sehari-hari.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah teknik wawancara langsung. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Kampus STKIP Widya Yuwana dengan jumlah delapan responden dari angkatan 2022-2025. Peneliti menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dalam memilih responden. Kriteria responden yang ditentukan ialah mahasiswa calon katekis yang aktif mengikuti Perayaan Ekaristi di lingkungan kampus maupun paroki, bersedia berpartisipasi secara sukarela, serta memiliki tingkat kehadiran dalam pembinaan spiritualitas mencapai 90-100%.
Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa STKIP Widya Yuwana memiliki pemahaman yang mendalam mengenai semangat kurban diri sebagai kesatuan utuh antara sikap batin dan tindakan nyata yang mencontoh kasih Yesus, dengan momen Konsekrasi sebagai puncaknya. Perwujudan semangat tersebut diimplementasikan secara konkret melalui tanggung jawab studi dan kesetiaan pelayanan liturgi di Gereja. Meskipun dihadapkan pada hambatan internal seperti rasa malas dan egoisme, serta hambatan eksternal seperti tantangan akademik, budaya instan dan pengaruh gawai (gadget) para mahasiswa tetap memandang Ekaristi sebagai sumber utama yang menguatkan dan mentransformasi hidup mereka sebagai calon katekis.

The Eucharist is the source and peak of all Christians’ life that re-presenting the sacrifice of Christ's Cross for the salvation of humankind. Yet in the midst of an age of individualism, all college students are confronted with the modern challenge of declining consistency in spirituality, the weariness arising from academic routine, as well as the inclination toward discouragement as in the fare of difficulties. Although STKIP Widya Yuwana has Facilitated to regularly participating in the eucharist, the reality of such contemporary challenges arise an important question on how far the college students who are preparing to be the catechists have an ability to see and to internalize the value of Christ's self-sacrifice in the midst of busyness of their studies. Based on the said issue, the formulation of the research problem in this research is how the understanding of STKIP Widya Yuwana students about the spirit of self-sacrifice in the Eucharist and on how they actualize the said spirit in daily life. Therefore, this research intends to analyze the understanding of students about the spirit of self-sacrifice in the eucharist and at the same time to identify the concrete form of implementation in the of daily life. 
This research applies the qualitative research method. Method used in gathering data is a direct interview method. The place where the research is conducted is at STKIP Widya Yuwana Campus with eight respondents from the 2022-2025 batch. This researcher uses purposive sampling technique in choosing the respondents. The specified respondent criteria are catechist candidate students who actively participate in Eucharistic Celebration at campus as well as at parish, ready to participate voluntarily, as well as the attendances rate in spiritual formation are reached between 90-100%.
This research concludes that the students of STKIP Widya Yuwana have a profound understanding on the spirit of self-sacrifice as a complete unity between inner attitude and concrete actions that exemplify the love of Jesus Christ, with the consecration moment as the peak. The implementation of the said spirit carried out concretely through the responsibilities in studies and faithfulness in liturgical services in the church. Although faced with the internal challenges such as feeling laziness and egoism, as well as external obstacles like academic, instant culture, and the impact of gadgets, all the students remain focused on the Eucharist as the main source that strengthen and transform their lives as candidate for catechist.
