Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pendidikan karakter religius dan toleransi terbentuk melalui pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Katolik di SMP Katolik Santo Vincentius Garum. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya pembentukan karakter peserta didik ditegah maraknya intoleransi dan dekadensi moral di kalangan pelajar. Pendidikan Agama Katolik menjadi aspek penting dalam membentuk karakter religius dan toleransi peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di SMP Katolik Santo Vincentius Garum. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, guru Agama Katolik, guru kesiswaan, dan guru wali kelas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, Pendidikan Agama Katolik di SMP Santo Vincentius Garum memiliki peran dalam membentuk karakter religius dan toleransi beragama peserta didik. Hal ini dilakukan melalui integrasi nilai-nilai karakter dalam materi pembelajaran, pembiasan kegiatan religius dan sikap toleransi, serta keteladanan dari guru yang mencerminkan karakter religius dan toleransi. Lewat proses pembelajaran yang didesain dan dilaksanakan oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik, memberikan dampak terhadap perubahan sikap siswa. Hal ini tercermin dari sikap siswa yang seperti berdoa sebelum melakukan aktivitas, bersikap jujur, menghargai diri sendiri dan sesamanya, serta membangun relasi sosial tanpa memandang latar belakang agama. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya masih terdapat kendala seperti kurangnya peran orang tua, pengaruh negatif dari lingkungan sosial maupun pengaruh dari penggunaan media sosial yang tidak terkontrol. Para pendidik di SMP Katolik Santo Vincentius Garum terus berupaya memberi teguran,nasehat,dan bimbingan kepada peserta didik, serta membangun komunikasi dan kerja sama dengan para orang tua murid. This research aims to describe on how the Religions Character Education and falerance built through the Catholic Religions Education Learning at Santo Vincentius Catholic Junior High School-Garum. The background of this research is based on the importance of character formation of all the learners amid the widespread rise of intolerance and moral decadence among the student. The Catholic Religions Education becomes an importance aspect in creating religions character and tolerance of the student. This research is a descriptive quantitative research was done of Santo Vincentius Catholic Junior High School-Garum. Data collection method was done through interview, observation, and documentation. The informant sin this research were included School Principal, catholic Religions teacher, student affairs coordinator, and class advisor. Data analysis was done with data reeducation, data presentation, and conclusion making.There sult of this research has shown that, the Catholic Religions Education at Santo Vincentius Junior High School-Garum plays a role in the religions character building and religious tolerance of the students. It is done through character values integration in learning process, to staring Religions values and tolerance. Through the teaching and learning process that designed and done by the Catholic Religions Teacher, has given the impacts to the behavioral changes of the students. These attitudes can be seen through the performances of the students, for example. Praying before doing some activities, act honestly, self respect and others, and building social relationship regardless of religions background. Yet, in reality there are hindrances such as lack of the role of parents, negative influences from social media. The teachers at Santo Valentinus Junior High School-Garum are trying to give a warning, advice, guidance to the student,as well as build a healthy communication and woperation with the parents of the students.
