Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran orang tua sebagai pendidik iman anak yang pertama dan utama di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital yang membawa dampak positif dan negatif dalam kehidupan &#13;
keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran orang tua dalam mendidik iman anak serta strategi yang dilakukan dalam menghadapi tantangan perkembangan teknologi digital di Lingkungan St. Gregorius Paroki Mater Dei &#13;
Madiun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap enam orang tua yang memiliki anak usia 5-12 tahun. Data dianalisis secara tematik melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. &#13;
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua memiliki kesadaran yang baik akan perannya sebagai pendidik iman anak yang pertama dan utama. Peran tersebut diwujudkan melalui keteladanan hidup, pembiasaan doa, pendampingan, serta pengawasan dalam penggunaan teknologi digital. Meskipun demikian, orang tua menghadapi berbagai tantangan seperti kecanduan gawai, berkurangnya interaksi keluarga, dan gangguan terhadap kehidupan rohani anak. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, orang tua menerapkan strategi berupa pembatasan &#13;
penggunaan teknologi, pengawasan, serta pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai sarana pendukung pendidikan iman. &#13;
Kesimpulannya, peran orang tua tetap menjadi faktor utama dalam pembentukan iman anak, dan teknologi digital dapat dimanfaatkan secara positif apabila digunakan secara bijaksana. Disarankan adanya peningkatan literasi &#13;
digital dan spiritual serta kerja sama antara keluarga dan Gereja guna mendukung pendidikan iman anak secara berkelanjutan. &#13;

Oktaviantina Wati: “The Role of Parents as the First and Primary Educators of Children’s Faith in the Era of Digital Technology Development at St. Gregorius Community, Mater Dei &#13;
Parish, Madiun.” &#13;
This study is motivated by the crucial role of parents as the primary and foremost educators of children’s faith amidst the rapid development of digital technology, which brings both positive and negative impacts within family life. This research aims to describe the role of parents in educating children’s faith and the strategies applied in addressing the challenges of digital technological &#13;
advancement in the St. Gregorius community of Mater Dei Parish, Madiun. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through semi-structured interviews involving six parents with children aged 5–12 &#13;
years. The data were analyzed thematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. &#13;
The results indicate that parents have a strong awareness of their role as primary faith educators. This role is manifested through role modeling, prayer &#13;
habituation, guidance, and supervision of digital technology usage. However, parents face challenges such as gadget addiction, reduced family interaction, and disruptions in children’s spiritual life. To address these issues, parents implement strategies such as limiting technology use, monitoring, and utilizing technology as a supportive medium for faith education. In conclusion, the role of parents remains the key factor in shaping children’s faith, and digital technology can be used positively when managed &#13;
wisely. It is recommended to enhance digital and spiritual literacy and strengthen collaboration between families and the Church to support sustainable faith education. &#13;
