Lingkaran natal terdiri dari Masa Adven sebagai penantian kedatangan Tuhan dan Masa Natal sebagai perayaan misteri kelahiran Tuhan. Puncak dari perayaan Natal adalah 25 Desember, banyak kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk menyambut dan merayakan hari raya natal. Umat selalu antusias saat natal dengan mengikuti perayaan di Gereja, berbeda jika hari minggu biasa Gereja tidak seramai saat natal. Lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu memiliki kegiatan dan tradisi yang masih dilakukan sampai sekarang ini untuk merayakan Natal. Berdasarkan apa yang dilakukan oleh umat Sambi Barat sampai sekarang ini, bagaimana pemahaman umat lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu tentang makna perayaan Natal? Bagaimana penghayatan umat lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu tentang makna perayaan Natal? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan lingkaran natal yang terdiri dari spiritualitas Masa Adven dan Spiritualitas Masa Natal, serta mendeskripsikan bagaimana sejarah dan kegiatan yang berada di Lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan melakukan wawancara secara langsung di lapangan terdapat 7 responden yang dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu pada tanggal 12 - 24 Juni 2025. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa: 1) Umat Lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu belum sepenuhnya mengetahui pemahaman tentang makna perayaan natal umat hanya dapat menyebutkan 25 Desember sebagai kelahiran Tuhan serta menyebutkan tokoh dari peristiwa atau kisah dari Natal. 2) Umat lingkungan Santo Markus, Sambi Barat, Paroki Santo Hilarius, Klepu belum seluruhnya mendiskripsikan penghayatan tentang makna perayaan natal beberapa umat sudah mendalami kisah dari peristiwa natal dalam kehidupan pribadi, keluarga, dan lingkungan. Umat melakukan upaya persiapaan natal, saat natal, dan setalah natal dengan kegiatan yang sejalan dengan lima tugas gereja yakni pewartaan, persekutuan, peribadatan, kesaksian, dan pelayanan. Buah dari natal yang umat Santo Markus rasakan adalah kebersamaan berkumpul dengan keluarga dan orang sekitar dengan membawa kabar suka cita natal. Kata Kunci: Lingkaran Liturgi Natal, Paroki Santo Hilarius Klepu ============================================================ ABSTRACT Laurensia: “The Understanding and Internalization of the Meaning of the Christmas Celebration by the Community of Saint Mark Basic Ecclesial Community, Sambi Barat, Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu” The Nativity Cycle is one of the liturgical cycles celebrating the mystery of Christ, specifically characterized by the mystery of the Lord's coming. This cycle consists of the Advent Season, as the anticipation of the Lord's arrival, and the Christmas Season, as the celebration of the mystery of the Lord's birth. The culmination of the Christmas celebration is December 25th, marked by numerous activities to welcome and commemorate the feast day. The faithful consistently demonstrate enthusiasm during Christmas, attending church celebrations in large numbers, which contrasts with the lower attendance on ordinary Sundays. The Saint Mark Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC), Sambi Barat, Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu, maintains specific activities and traditions to celebrate Christmas. Grounded in the contemporary practices of the Sambi Barat community, this research poses the following questions: How does the Saint Mark BEC community understand the meaning of the Christmas celebration? How does the Saint Mark BEC community internalize the meaning of the Christmas celebration? This study aims to elucidate the Nativity Cycle, comprising the spiritualities of the Advent and Christmas Seasons, and to describe the history and activities within the Saint Mark Basic Ecclesial Community, Sambi Barat, Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu. To achieve these objectives, the researcher employed a qualitative methodology, conducting direct field interviews with seven respondents selected through Purposive Sampling. The research was conducted in the Saint Mark Basic Ecclesial Community, Sambi Barat, Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu, from June 12 to 24, 2025. The findings of the study conclude that: 1) The faithful of the Saint Mark BEC, Sambi Barat, Saint Hilarius Parish, Klepu, have not fully grasped the understanding of the meaning of the Christmas celebration. They are generally only able to identify December 25th as the Lord's birth and name figures from the Nativity story. 2) The Saint Mark BEC community has not entirely articulated the internalization of the meaning of the Christmas celebration. While some members have integrated the Nativity story into their personal, family, and community lives, the community engages in preparations before, during, and after Christmas through activities aligned with the five tasks of the Church: Kerygma (proclamation), Koinonia (fellowship), Leitourgia (worship), Martyria (witness), and Diakonia (service). The "fruit" of Christmas experienced by the Saint Mark community is the sense of togetherness, gathering with family and neighbors while sharing the joyful tidings of Christmas.
