Abstract
ABSTRAK
Lorensius Gego Wawin: “Peran Guru Wali Kelas dalam Mengatasi Perilaku Bullying pada Peserta Didik di SDK Santo Yusuf Madiun”
Bullying di sekolah dasar merupakan masalah serius yang mengganggu perkembangan psikologis dan sosial peserta didik. Fenomena ini tidak hanya menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi korban, tetapi juga berpotensi menumbuhkan siklus kekerasan baru jika tidak segera ditangani. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran guru wali kelas dalam mengatasi perilaku bullying pada peserta didik studi kasus SDK Santo Yusuf Madiun. Guru wali kelas memiliki posisi strategis sebagai pendidik, pengawas, dan mediator dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman sekaligus mencegah terjadinya bullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi peran guru wali kelas dalam mendeteksi, mencegah, dan menangani kasus bullying di sekolah dasar.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, dengan informan terdiri dari guru wali kelas dan kepala sekolah yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data berlangsung pada november 2024–maret 2025, dengan validasi triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis dilakukan melalui kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara induktif.
Hasil penelitian adalah:(1) Peran guru wali kelas dalam mengatasi bullying terlihat melalui identifikasi dini kasus, penanganan langsung terhadap pelaku, serta pendampingan psikologis bagi korban agar mereka merasa aman dan didukung.(2) Bentuk-bentuk bullying yang ditemukan meliputi bullying verbal seperti ejekan dan hinaan, bullying fisik berupa dorongan atau pukulan, serta bullying psikologis yang terjadi di dalam maupun di luar kelas.(3) Strategi yang diterapkan guru mencakup strategi edukatif berupa pembinaan karakter dan penyuluhan empati, strategi preventif melalui pengawasan ketat dan penegakan aturan, serta strategi kolaboratif dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah dan orang tua.(4) Kendala dan solusi alternatif yang dihadapi guru mencakup keterbatasan waktu, kurangnya dukungan, serta bullying yang terjadi di luar pengawasan; solusi dilakukan dengan meningkatkan koordinasi, melibatkan pihak eksternal, dan memperluas jangkauan pengawasan.

Bullying in elementary schools is a serious problem that disrupts the psychological and social development of students. This phenomenon not only has a negative impact on victims, but also has the potential to create a new cycle of violence if not addressed immediately. This study focuses on the role of homeroom teachers in addressing bullying behavior among students at SDK Santo Yusuf Madiun. Homeroom teachers hold a strategic position as educators, supervisors, and mediators in creating a safe learning environment while preventing bullying. The study aims to explore the role of homeroom teachers in detecting, preventing, and addressing bullying cases in elementary schools.
The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with informants consisting of homeroom teachers and school principals selected through purposive sampling. Data collection took place from November 2024 to March 2025, with source and technique triangulation validation. Analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing.
The research findings are: (1) The role of homeroom teachers in addressing bullying is evident through early identification of cases, direct intervention with perpetrators, and psychological support for victims to ensure they feel safe and supported. (2) The forms of bullying identified include verbal bullying such as insults and taunts, physical bullying such as pushing or hitting, and psychological bullying occurring both inside and outside the classroom. (3) The strategies implemented by teachers include educational strategies such as character building and empathy counseling, preventive strategies through strict supervision and enforcement of rules, and collaborative strategies involving the principal and parents. (4) Challenges and alternative solutions faced by teachers include time constraints, lack of support, and bullying occurring outside of supervision; solutions involve improving coordination, involving external parties, and expanding the scope of supervision.
