Abstract
ABSTRAK
Seniwati Lahagu: “Penanaman Nilai Toleransi Melalui Pendidikan Religiositas Dan Karakter Serviam Di SMP Santo Yusup Pacet”
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menganalisis penanaman nilai toleransi melalui pendidikan religiositas dan karakter Serviam di SMP Santo Yusup Pacet. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih maraknya kasus intoleransi di Indonesia, yang menunjukkan pentingnya pendidikan untuk menanamkan nilai toleransi sejak dini. Pendidikan religiositas yang menghormati dan menghargai perbedaan agama dan keyakinan serta nilai karakter Serviam yang menekankan cinta kasih, integritas, keberanian dan ketangguhan, semangat persatuan, totalitas dan semangat pelayanan menjadi landasan dalam membangun sikap toleran peserta didik sebagai pelajar Pancasila di tengah masyarakat yang majemuk. Hal ini sejalan dengan seruan dari Paus Yohanes XXIII dalam ensiklik Pacem in Terris (1963) yang menyerukan pentingnya membangun perdamaian melalui penghormatan terhadap hak asasi manusia dan dialog lintas agama, sebagai wujud nyata dari cinta kasih dan keadilan sosial.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. SMP St. Yusup Pacet sekolah Katolik yang mayoritas siswa dan gurunya beragama Muslim namun ciri khas kekatolikan sangat kuat dan diterima masyarakat dengan baik. Maka fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penanaman nilai toleransi dan karakter Serviam di SMP Santo Yusup Pacet melalui pendidikan religiositas dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dalam kelas, budaya sekolah melalui interaksi harian warga sekolah, kegiatan pembiasaan harian, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan ini dirancang, diimplementasikan dan dihidupi oleh seluruh warga sekolah.
Hasil penelitiannya adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Guru Agama Katolik mengajarkan Pendidikan Religiositas untuk semua siswa, pendidikan agama Katolik untuk yang beragama Katolik dan pendidikan agama Islam oleh guru yang beragama Islam. (2) Semua guru memberikan teladan dan mengajarkan nilai toleransi melalui sikap religius dan karakter serviam dalam mata pelajaran mereka ampu yang dirancang dalam rencana pembelajaran dan diimplementasikan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran mereka. (3) Budaya sekolah melalui pelaksanaan aturan positif, pembiasaan harian melalui literasi kerohanian dan literasi karakter Serviam dalam pembiasaan harian di pagi hari, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan serta fasilitas dan kesempatan masing-masing pribadi menjalankan ibadah sesuai agama dan kepercayaannya. (4) Orangtua dan masyarakat mengapresiasi sikap toleransi dari seluruh warga sekolah dan kuatnya karakter Serviam pada diri mereka yang dialami langsung di tengah keluarga dan masyarakat. Pendidikan religiositas dan karakter Serviam berperan signifikan dalam membentuk peserta didik yang toleran dan berjiwa inklusif. Penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi kontribusi bagi pengembangan pendidikan karakter di sekolah berbasis multikultural.

Seniwati Lahagu: “Instilling Tolerance Through Religious Education and Serviam Character Building at Santo Yusup Pacet Junior High School”
This study aims to explore and analyze the instillation of tolerance values through religious education and Serviam character development at Santo Yusup Pacet Junior High School. The background of this research is the increasing number of intolerance cases in Indonesia, highlighting the importance of education in instilling tolerance values from an early age. Religious education that respects and values religious and ideological differences, along with Serviam character values emphasizing love, integrity, courage, resilience, unity, solidarity, and a spirit of service, serve as the foundation for fostering tolerant attitudes among students as Pancasila-based learners in a diverse society. This is in line with Pope John XXIII's call in the encyclical Pacem in Terris (1963), which emphasizes the importance of building peace through respect for human rights and interfaith dialogue, as a concrete manifestation of love and social justice.
The research method used was qualitative research using data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. SMP St. Yusup Pacet is a Catholic school where the majority of students and teachers are Muslim, but Catholic characteristics are very strong and well accepted by the community. Therefore, the focus of this research is how the values of tolerance and Serviam character are instilled at SMP Santo Yusup Pacet through religious education in classroom learning activities, school culture through daily interactions among school members, daily routine activities, extracurricular activities, and social community activities, which are designed, implemented, and lived by the entire school community.
The results of the research are as follows. (1) Catholic Religion teachers teach Religious Education to all students, Catholic religious education to Catholic students, and Islamic religious education by Islamic teachers. (2) All teachers set an example and teach tolerance through religious attitudes and Serviam character in their subjects, which are designed in the lesson plans and implemented in their teaching practices. (3) School culture is fostered through the implementation of positive rules, daily habits through spiritual literacy and Serviam character literacy in morning routines, extracurricular activities, and community social activities, as well as facilities and opportunities for individuals to perform their religious duties. (4) Parents and the community appreciate the tolerant attitude of all school members and the strong Serviam character they experience firsthand within their families and communities. Religious education and the Serviam character play a significant role in shaping tolerant and inclusive students. This study is expected to contribute to the development of character education in multicultural schools.
