Abstract
Melia Woga: “Peran Guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik Dalam Pembinaan Iman Siswa Kelas VII di SMPK Karitas III Surabaya.”
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplor bagaimana peran guru pendidikan agama katolik dalam pembinaan iman siswa kelas VII di SMPK Karitas III Surabaya. Penelitian ini diatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan dan memperdalam iman mereka, khususnya pada masa remaja awal yang merupakan fase penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas. Peran guru pendidikan agama katolik dapat di lihat melalui bagimana penerapan strategi pembinaan iman di kelas dan luar kelas, bagimana pelaksanaan pembinaan iman dan bagaimana dampak dari peran guru tersebut terhadap penguatan iman dan sikap religus siswa kelas VII.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah guru agama katolik dan siswa kelas VII di SMPK Karitas III Surabaya. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah kondensasi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru pendidikan agama katolik memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam pembinaan iman siswa kelas VII. Peran guru tersebut diwujudkan melalui pengajaran materi iman katolik secara kontekstual, keteladanan hidup yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai hidup kristiani, pendampingan rohani, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam kegiatan rohani seperti doa bersama, perayaan ekaristi/ibadat, serta pendalaman iman. Pembinaan iman yang dilakukan oleh guru pendidikan agama katolik terbukti membantu siswa dalam memahami ajaran iman katolik, menumbuhkan sikap religius, serta mendorong siswa untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai iman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di lingkungan sekolah maupun keluarga.

Melia Woga: “The Role of Catholic Religious Teacher to the Fostering Faith of the Grade VII Students at the Karitas III Catholic Junior High School- Surabaya.”
This research intents to explore on how the role of the Catholic Religious Teacher relates to the faith formation of the grade VII students at the Karitas III Catholic Junior High School- Surabaya. This research is motivated by the importance of the role the Catholic Religious Teacher in helping students in developing and deepening their faith especially on the early youth that known as a very important phase in character building and spirituality. The role of the Catholic Religious Teacher can be seen through on how applying strategies for nurturing faith in and out of the class room, how the implementation of faith formation and how is the impact of the role of the said teacher on faith strengthening and religious attitude of the grade VII students.
This research applies the Qualitative Approach with case study method. The subject in this research is the Catholic Religious Teacher and grade VII students at the Karitas III Catholic Junior High School- Surabaya. Data Collection method applied by the researcher in this research is observation, interview, and documentation. Method used in data analysis are condensation, data presentation, formulation of conclusions.
Based on the results of the research can be concluded that the Catholic Religious Teachers have a very important role in faith formation of the grade VII students. The role of the said teacher is implemented through teaching of faith material in contextual manner, life example that reflect the values of Christian’s life, spiritual guidance, as well as active involvement in spiritual activity, for example praying together, Eucharistic celebration/ liturgy of the word along with faith deepening. Faith formation is done by the Catholic Religious Teacher is proven that helping students in understanding the Catholic faith teaching, fostering a religious attitude, as well as encouraging students to implement the faith values in daily life at the school environment or at home.
