Fransisco Laga Wawin: “Pemahaman dan Penghayatan Nilai-nilai Perkawinan Katolik dalam Keluarga”
Dewasa ini tingkat perceraian terus meningkat termasuk perceraian yang terjadi antara pasangan suami istri Katolik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendalami pemahaman dan penghayatan pasangan suami istri terhadap nilai-nilai perkawinan Katolik serta menganalisis tantangan dan solusi yang dialami pasangan suami istri dalam keluarga Katolik. Perceraian pada dasarnya disebabkan oleh memudarnya kesetian dalam perkawinan, kesulitan ekonomi rumah tangga, kemajuan teknologi komunikasi yang menawarkan nilai-nilai global seperti konsumerisme, materialisme, hedonisme, individualisme dan lain-lain. Menyadari situasi ini, maka peneliti merasa penting untuk mempertegas arti dan nilai-nilai perkawinan Katolik. Perkawinan Katolik merupakan persekutuan seorang laki-laki dan perempuan yang dipersatukan Allah dalam ikatan suci melalui Sakramen Perkawinan dan tidak dapat diceraikan manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik wawancara individual dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman dan penghayatan pasangan suami istri terhadap arti dan nilai-nilai perkawinan Katolik dalam keluarga dapat mempererat hubungan suami istri dan memelihara keutuhan perkawinan. Meskipun demikian, pasangan suami istri masih mengalami berbagai tantangan dalam kehidupan keluarga seperti tantangan ekonomi, perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi modern yang dapat menghacurkan nilai-nilai perkawinan Katolik bila tidak disikapi dengan bijaksana. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dipakai sebagai bahan acuan untuk menyusun program pastoral pendampingan keluarga Katolik.

Fransisco Laga Wawin: “Understanding and Appreciating the Values of Catholic Marriage in the Family”

In the present, the divorce rate continues to increase, including divorces between the Catholic couples. The research aimed to explore the understanding and appreciation of the Catholic married couples towards the values of Catholic marriage and to analyze the challenges and solutions experienced by Catholic couples.The divorce rate is basically caused by the lack of appreciation of fidelity among the couples, household economic difficulties, advances in communication technology and so on. Realizing the said situation, the researcher feels it is important to emphasize the meaning and values of Catholic marriage throughout the research. The Catholic marriage is an union between a baptized man and woman who are united by God in a sacred bond through the Sacrament of Marriage. This union cannot be separated by human beings. The research applied a qualitative descriptive approach. Research data was collected by individual interview technique then analyzed using an inductive approach. The results of the research indicated that the understanding and appreciation of the meaning and values of Catholic marriage by couples can so far strengthen the relationship between the couples and maintain the integrity of the marriage. However, married couples still experience various challenges such as economic challenges, technological developments and modern communications which should be responded wisely. The results of the research can be used as a reference material to design a pastoral program for Catholic families’ spiritual guidance.
