Abstract
ABSTRAK
Vincencius Putra Haryu Pratama: “Relevansi Dokumen Antiquum Ministerium bagi Kualitas Hidup Katekis Masa Kini”
Surat Apostolik Antiquum Ministerium yang dikeluarkan oleh Paus Fransiskus merupakan tonggak eklesial yang menetapkan pelayanan katekis sebagai suatu ministry (pelayanan tetap) dalam Gereja Katolik. Dokumen ini merefleksikan tradisi kuno Gereja sambil merespons kebutuhan evangelisasi kontemporer, secara formal mengakui panggilan dan peran fundamental katekis awam dalam pewartaan iman dan pengajaran doktrin. Pengakuan ini bertujuan untuk memberi martabat dan identitas eklesial yang lebih kuat kepada para katekis, menekankan perlunya formasi yang komprehensif-meliputi dimensi spiritual, doktrinal, dan pedagogis-agar pelayanan para katekis menjadi semakin efektif dan berbuah. Antiquum Ministerium memposisikan katekis sebagai saksi iman yang terotorisasi dan pelayan yang berhak atas dukungan pastoral dan institusional Gereja.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat penelaah dokumen (studi kepustakaan), dengan mencari dan mengumpulkan data menggunakan berbagai sumber yang relevan seperti kumpulan dokumen Gereja, buku teks, naskah-naskah yang terpublikasikan, artikel, jurnal, dan sumber lain yang tertulis atau bersifat ilmiah. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan melalui berbagai tahapan, diantaranya: tahap pengumpulan data/informasi, analisis dan penyajian data, dan terakhir penarikan kesimpulan serta saran dari semua data yang dikumpulkan melalui berbagai tahapan.
Relevansi Antiquum Ministerium dengan Kualitas Hidup Katekis Masa Kini terletak pada pengakuan formal yang diberikan dokumen tersebut. Pengakuan status ministry ini secara langsung meningkatkan penghargaan diri katekis dan pengakuan sosial-eklesial pelayanannya. Kualitas hidup para katekis dengan memberikan makna yang lebih mendalam pada pelayanan, mendorong komitmen profesionalisme, dan menjamin dukungan pastoral yang lebih terstruktur, sehingga mengubah pengalaman pelayanan menjadi suatu vokasi yang didukung secara universal dan memuaskan.

Vincencius Putra Haryu Pratama: “The Relevance of the Antiquum Ministerium Document to the Quality of Life of Today's Catechists”
The Apostolic Letter Antiquum Ministerium issued by Pope Francis is an ecclesial milestone that establishes the ministry of catechists as a permanent ministry in the Catholic Church. This document reflects the ancient tradition of the Church while responding to contemporary evangelization needs, formally recognizing the fundamental vocation and role of lay catechists in proclaiming the faith and teaching doctrine. This recognition aims to give catechists greater dignity and ecclesial identity, emphasizing the need for comprehensive formation—covering spiritual, doctrinal, and pedagogical dimensions—so that the ministry of catechists becomes more effective and fruitful. Antiquum Ministerium positions catechists as authorized witnesses of the faith and ministers who are entitled to the pastoral and institutional support of the Church.
This research is qualitative in nature and involves document analysis (literature study), searching for and collecting data using various relevant sources such as church documents, textbooks, published manuscripts, articles, journals, and other written or scientific sources. The research method was carried out in several stages, including: data/information collection, data analysis and presentation, and finally drawing conclusions and recommendations from all the data collected through the various stages.
The relevance of Antiquum Ministerium to the quality of life of today's catechists lies in the formal recognition given by the document. This recognition of the status of the ministry directly increases the self-esteem of catechists and the social-ecclesial recognition of their service. The quality of life of catechists is improved by giving a deeper meaning to their service, encouraging professional commitment, and ensuring more structured pastoral support, thereby transforming the experience of service into a universally supported and satisfying vocation.
