Abstract

Sekolah katolik merupakan wujud nyata kehadiran Gereja dalam dunia pendidikan. Melalui sekolah katolik, Gereja turut serta mewartakan Injil kepada semua orang termasuk generasi muda. Banyak aspek berkaitan dengan tata kelola sekolah katolik perlu ditata dalam terang dan semangat Injil. Tata kelola sekolah katolik yang sungguh dijiwai oleh semangat Injil menyebabkan sekolah katolik dapat berkembang dan bertahan di tengah tantangan dan perubahan sosial pada zaman modern ini.
Penelitian ini mendalami aspek dan komponen tata kelola sekolah katolik dan bagaimana semua aspek dan komponen dari tata kelola sekolah katolik itu sungguh dijiwai oleh semangat Injil yang nampak dalam proses dan kegiatan pendidikan sehari-hari.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara. Disamping itu, peneliti berinisiatif membuat sejumlah angket untuk di isi oleh para siswa sebagai data pembanding. Siswa yang mengisi angket ini berjumlah 60 orang.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan para pendidik katolik terus berusaha melakukan tata kelola sekolah katolik berdasarkan semangat Injil. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan betapa pentingnya peranan para pendidik katolik dalam proses membangun tata kelola sekolah katolik yang dijiwai semangat Injil. Para pendidik yakin bahwa bila tata kaelola sekolah katolik benar-benar dijiwai oleh semangat Injil maka Gereja Katolik dan umat katolik bisa memastikan bahwa sekolah katolik akan tetap bertahan dan berjalan terus pada masa mendatang dan di tengah arus perubahan sosial dan budaya yang begitu hebat saat ini.

The Catholic schools are a concrete manifestation of the presence of the Catholic Church in the world of education. Through Catholic schools, the Church indeed participates in spreading out the Holy Gospel to all human kinds, including young people. Varius aspects connected to the Catholic school governance must be managed based on the spirit of the Holy Gospel. Catholic school governance which is truly inspired by the spirit of the Holy Gospel can certainly develop and survive continously throughout social changes in the modern era.

This study conducted to explore varius aspects and components of the Catholic school governance and how those aspects and elements have been truly inspired by the spirit of the Holy Gospel throughout daily education praxices.

This study applied a qualitative method. Data collection was carried out by individual interview. There were five selected respondents interviewed. However, the researcher then took her own initiative to construct a series of questionnaire for a student comparison data purpose. There were 60 students asked to fill out the questionaires.

The result of this study indicated that the catholic educators played a very important role in developing Catholic school governance inspired by the spirit of the Holy Gospel. By paying an intensive attention in managing various components of the Catholic school based on the spirit of the Holy Gospel then the Catholic Church must be optimistic that the Catholic schools can survive in the future.
