Abstract
Arus modernisasi telah merubah banyak sekali kebiasaan manusia. Arus modernisasi juga berdampak pada Gereja. Pada masa sekarang Gereja melakukan upaya supaya dapat mengikuti arus modernisasi. Orang muda adalah salah satu orang yang begitu terdampak. Alasannya karena orang muda terbiasa menggunakan teknologi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dampaknya banyak orang muda sekarang yang memiliki mental yang lebih rentan dari pada orang terdahulu. Padahal Orang muda Katolik merupakan cerminan kejayaan Gereja di masa depan.
Melalui penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui apa itu hidup menggereja, mendapatkan informasi seperti apa OMK dalam arus modernisasi dan dapat mengetahui berbagai bentuk hidup menggereja OMK dalam arus modernisasi di Paroki SMTB Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Responden penelitian adalah pengurus OMK di Paroki SMTB Surabaya dan Ketua OMK Stasi Yosafat Surabaya sebagai re-presentasi OMK di Paroki SMTB Surabaya. Total responden berjumlah 9 orang.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara konsep dasar 66,66% responden memiliki pemahaman yang sangat baik mengenai hidup menggereja dan bagaimana OMK dalam Arus modernisasi. Sedangkan 33,34% nampak kebingungan karena masih awam dengan berbagai bentuk atau istilah-istilah panca tugas Gereja, sehingga mereka sedikit kesulitan untuk mengembangkannya. Meski demikian, 100% responden cukup memahami cara hidup menggereja OMK dalam arus modernisasi dan pengembangannya.

ABSTRACT
Darmawan, Fransiscus Xaverius Riski: Life of the Catholic Youth Ministry in the Midst of Modernization at the SMTB Parish.
The wave of modernization has significantly altered many human habits. This wave also impacts the Church. In the present era, the Church is making efforts to keep up with the wave of modernization. Young people are among those greatly affected. This is because young people are accustomed to using technology in their daily lives. As a result, many young people today have a more vulnerable mindset compared to those in the past. "Yet, the Catholic Youth is seen as the reflection of the Church's future success.
The aim of this research is to understand what it means to live a church life, to gather information on what the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) is like in the era of modernization, and to identify the various forms of living a church life by Catholic Youth Ministry (OMK) in the stream of modernization at the Parish of Santa Maria Tak Bercela, Surabaya. This research employs a qualitative research method. The research respondents consist of the Catholic Youth leaders at the SMTB Parish Community, Surabaya, as well as the Chairperson of the Catholic Youth at the St. Yosafat Basic Ecclesia Community, Surabaya, as a representative of the Catholic Youth at the SMTB Parish, Surabaya. The total number of respondents is 9 people.
The research results indicate that, in terms of basic concepts, 66.66% of respondents have a very good understanding of living a church life and how the Catholic Youth Community (OMK) operates in the stream of modernization. Meanwhile, 33.34% appear uncertain because they are still unfamiliar with some various forms or terms related to the five duties of the Church, creating it somewhat difficult for them to develop these concepts. Nevertheless, 100% of respondents have a sufficient understanding of how to live a church life as a Catholic Youth Ministry (OMK) in the era of modernization and its development.
