Abstract
Sakramen Krisma merupakan sakramen penguatan yang termasuk dalam inisiasi Gereja Katolik. Inisiasi menandai hubungan umat Kristus dengan Allah, serta menandakan bahwa seseorang memiliki ikatan yang lebih kuat dengan gereja. Dengan menerima Sakramen Krisma umat hendaknya terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan hidup menggereja. Selain itu, penguatan juga menghantarkan umat kepada kedewasaan rohani agar umat memiliki tanggung jawab dalam gereja. Yang menjadi persoalan adalah sejauh mana umat di Stasi Santo Yohanes Ketaren memaknai makna Sakramen Krisma? Bagaimana pemahaman umat akan hidup menggereja? Apa makna dari Sakramen Krisma bagi perkembangan hidup menggereja umat beriman? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana umat di Stasi Santo Yohanes Ketaren memiliki pemahaman tentang makna Sakramen Krisma bagi perkembangan hidup menggereja.
Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18-27 Agustus 2023 dan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara. Data wawancara diperoleh dari 10 responden yaitu umat di Stasi Santo Yohanes Ketaren. Peneliti juga mengikuti proses pembelajaran Sakramen Krisma agar mendapatkan beberapa hal yang diperlukan dalam penelitian.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah umat memiliki pemahaman tentang Sakraman Krisma, syarat sebelum menerima sakramen krisma, dan kewajiban sebagai seorang Katolik untuk menerima Sakramen Krisma. Kemudian, umat dapat memahami lingkup dalam hidup menggereja dan terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan menggereja. Dan umat memiliki semangat baru dalam hidup menggereja serta memiliki kesadaran akan makna Sakramen Krisma dalam kehidupan menggereja.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is a sacrament of strengthening which is included in the initiation of the Catholic Church. Initiation marks a Christian's relationship with God, as well as indicating that a person has a stronger bond with the church. By receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, people should be actively involved in church life activities. Apart from that, strengthening also brings people to spiritual maturity so that people have responsibilities within the church. The problem is to what extent do the people at Santo Yohanes Ketaren Station interpret the meaning of the Sacrament of Confirmation? How do people understand the life of church? What is the meaning of the Sacrament of Confirmation for the development of the church life of believers? This research aims to find out to what extent the people at Santo Yohanes Ketaren Station have an understanding of the meaning of the Sacrament of Confirmation for the development of church life.
Researchers use qualitative research methods. The research was carried out on 18-27 August 2023 and used observation and interview methods. Data interviews were conducted by 10 respondents, namely people at Santo Yohanes Ketaren Station. Researchers also follow the process of learning about the Sacrament of Confirmation in order to obtain several things needed for research.
The results of this research are that people have an understanding of the Sacrament of Confirmation, the requirements before receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, and the obligations as a Catholic to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Then, people can understand the scope of church life and be actively involved in church activities. And the people have a new enthusiasm for church life and have an awareness of the meaning of the Sacrament of Confirmation in church life.
