Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara penanaman nilai karakter di SD Katolik Santo Yusup Surabaya melalui kegiatan spontan, kegiatan rutin, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian lingkungan. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini dikarenakan adanya peserta didik yang masih berperilaku tidak jujur. Selain itu peneliti tertarik dengan keunggulan yang terdapat pada visi dan misi SD Katolik Santo Yusup. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar siswa-siswi SD Katolik Santo Yusup dapat mengembangkan karakter yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini juga relevan untuk pendidikan katolik karena dapat menghasilkan pribadi-pribadi yang mempertahankan nilai kebaikan dan kebenaran yang diajarkan Tuhan Yesus.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari 5, yaitu guru wali kelas 1A, guru wali kelas 2A, guru wali kelas 3A, guru bahasa inggris, dan kepala sekolah. Analisa data yang dipakai yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Analisa ini yang akan dipakai peneliti dalam mengerjakan penelitian ini mulai dari tahap pengumpulan data sampai dengan tahap penulisan laporan.
Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penanaman nilai kejujuran sudah dilaksanakan oleh guru-guru di SDK Santo Yusup dengan baik melalui kegiatan spontan, kegiatan rutin, keteladanan guru, dan pengkondisian lingkungan. Serta kendala-kendala yang dialami dan solusi dalam penanaman nilai kejujuran di SDK Santo Yusup terkait dukungan dengan orang tua, pergaulan dengan teman, kesadaran dalam berperilaku jujur, dan kolaborasi antara guru dan orang tua.

This study aims to find out how to instill character values in Santo Yusup Catholic Elementary School Surabaya through spontaneous activities, routine activities, exemplary, and environmental conditioning. The background of this research is due to the presence of students who are still behaving dishonestly. In addition, researchers are interested in the advantages contained in the vision and mission of St. Yusup Catholic Elementary School. This study aims so that the students of St. Yusup Catholic Elementary School can develop the character that is being taught. This research is also relevant for Catholic education because it can produce individuals who maintain the values of goodness and truth taught by the Lord Jesus.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. This research was conducted by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants of this study consisted of 5, namely the homeroom teacher for class 1A, the homeroom teacher for class 2A, the homeroom teacher for class 3A, the English teacher, and the school principal. Data analysis used is data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. This analysis will be used by researchers in carrying out this research starting from the data collection stage to the report writing stage.
From the results of this study it can be concluded that the inculcation of the value of honesty has been well implemented by the teachers at SDK Santo Yusup through spontaneous activities, routine activities, exemplary teachers, and environmental conditioning. As well as the obstacles experienced and solutions in instilling the value of honesty at SDK Santo Yusup related to support with parents, association with friends, awareness of honest behavior, and collaboration between teachers and parents.
