Abstract
Sekolah merupakan salah satu tempat untuk mendidik karakter, salah satu nya adalah karakter religius. Pendidikan karakter religius diberikan kepada peserta didik dengan tujuan mengajarkan pribadi yang lebih baik sesuai dengan ajaran Tuhan. Pendidikan karakter religius dapat diperoleh melalui pembiasaan-pembiasaan rohani yang ada di sekolah. Pembiasaan itu disebut sebagai budaya yang ada disekolah. Sekolah SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun merupakan salah satu sekolah yang menerapkan pendidikan karakter religius sebagai budaya sekolah. Dapat diketahui pula, permasalahan karakter remaja yang sering terjadi dewasa ini yaitu kejahatan terhadap teman(bullying), pencurian, kebiasaan menyontek, tidak memiliki sikap toleransi, bahkan seks bebas. Dengan hal itu pentingan penerapan pendidikan karakter religius melalui budaya sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat dan mengetahui pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter religius melalui budaya sekolah di SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun.
Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan kulitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pemilihan informan penelitian menggunakan metode purposive sampling yakni dengan menentukan sendiri sampel yang diambil berdasarkan yang dianggap memiliki informasi yang cukup berkaitan dengan tema yang dapat dipercaya sebagai sumber data yang mantap. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam dengan informan penelitiannya yakni kepala sekolah, guru agama, guru BK, dan peserta didik SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun. Jumlah informan dalam penlitian ini yaitu 6 informan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa informan cukup memahami tentang pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter religius melalui budaya sekolah. Serta terdapat faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pendidikan karakter religius melalui budaya sekolah di SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun. Faktor pendukungnya yang meliputi guru dan peserta didik, orang tua, serta sarana prasarana yang mendukung kegiatan rohani di sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya pembentukan pendidikan karakter religius yaitu berasal dari diri peserta didik nya sendiri.

School is a place to educate characters, one of which is religious character. Religious character education is given to students with the aim of teaching a better personality in accordance with God's teachings. Religious character education can be obtained through spiritual habits in schools. Habituation is referred to as the culture that exists in schools. Santo Bernardus Madiun Middle School is one of the schools that implements religious character education as a school culture. It can also be seen that the character problems of teenagers that often occur today are crimes against friends (bullying), theft, cheating habits, lack of tolerance, even free sex. With that in mind the importance of implementing religious character education through school culture. The purpose of this study was to see and find out the implementation of religious character education through school culture at SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun.
This research uses a type of qualitative approach with a case study method. The technique for selecting research informants used a purposive sampling method, namely by determining the sample taken based on those considered to have sufficient information related to a theme that could be trusted as a solid source of data. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interview techniques with research informants namely school principals, religion teachers, counseling teachers, and SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun students. The number of informants in this research is 6 informants.
The results showed that the informants understood enough about implementing religious character education through school culture. As well as there are supporting and inhibiting factors in religious character education through school culture at SMP Santo Bernardus Madiun. The supporting factors include teachers and students, parents, and infrastructure that support spiritual activities in schools, while the inhibiting factors for the formation of religious character education come from the students themselves.
