Abstract

Maria Afrianti Mada: Menanamkan Pemahaman Tentang Nilai-Nilai Kebaikan Agama Lain Kepada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Melalui Pengajaran Agama Katolik di Sekolah Dalam Terang Dokumen Nostra Aetate
Gereja Katolik melalui Dokumen Nostra Aetate mengajarkan bahwa setiap agama memiliki nilai-nilai kebaikan. Melalui Dokumen Nostra Aetate Gereja menyatakan sikap terbuka dan penuh hormat, menghargai apa saja yang baik dan suci dalam agama-agama lain. Sikap Gereja ini serentak pula mengajak setiap orang yang berkehendak baik untuk membangun dialog agama dan kehidupan dengan saudara-saudari yang beragama lain. Dialog antar agama dan umat beragama menjadi sarana yang membantu setiap orang untuk mengenal agama lain, memahami nilai-nilai kebaikan dalam agama lain dan belajar untuk menaruh sikap hormat terhadap ajaran dan praktek iman agama-agama lain.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Responden penelitian terdiri dari para guru pengajar Agama Katolik di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Kota Madiun. Jumlah responden pada penelitian ini adalah 6 orang guru pengajar Agama Katolik. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain menjelaskan isi ajaran dokumen Nostra Aetate; memaparkan pandangan dokumen Nostra Aetate terhadap agama-agama lain; dan mengidentifikasi sejauh mana para guru berupaya menanamkan pemahaman tentang nilai-nilai kebaikan agama-agama lain dalam diri para siswa Katolik dalam terang dokumen Nostra Aetate melalui pengajaran agama Katolik di sekolah.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa responden yaitu para guru pengajar Agama Katolik telah mengenal dan memahami dokumen Nostra Aetate. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, para responden juga memahami pandangan dokumen Nostra Aetate terhadap agama-agama lain. Selanjutnya, para responden juga telah mengupayakan penanaman nilai-nilai kebaikan agama lain kepada siswa melalui pengajaran agama Katolik di sekolah dalam terang dokumen Nostra Aetate.

ABSTRACT
Maria Afrianti Mada: Instilling an Understanding of the Good Values of Other Religions in High School Students Through Teaching Catholicism in Schools In Light of the Nostra Aetate Document
The Catholic Church through the Nostra Aetate Document teaches that every religion has good values. Through the Nostra Aetate Document, the Church expresses an open and respectful attitude, appreciating what is good and holy in other religions.attitude also invites everyone of good will to build a dialogue of religion and life with brothers and sisters of other religions. Dialogue between religions and religious communities is a means that helps everyone to get to know other religions, understand the values of goodness in other religions and learn to respect the teachings and practices of faith in other religions.
This study used qualitative research methods. Research respondents consisted of teachers teaching Catholic Religion at the Senior High School (SMA) Madiun City. The number of respondents in this study were 6 teachers of Catholic Religion. The aims of this research are to explain the contents of the Nostra Aetate document; describe the views of the Nostra Aetate document on other religions; and identify the extent to which teachers are trying to instill an understanding of the good values of other religions in Catholic students in the light of the Nostra Aetate document through teaching Catholicism in schools.
The results of this study indicate that the respondents, namely Catholic religious teachers, have known and understood the Nostra Aetate document. Based on the results of the research, the respondents also understand the views of the Nostra Aetate document on other religions. Furthermore, the respondents have also tried to instill the good values of other religions to students through teaching Catholicism in schools in the light of the Nostra Aetate document.
