Abstract

ABSTRAK

Pendidikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menekankan pratikum dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran karena mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk bekerja. Kepala sekolah SMK membutuhkan kerjasama guru untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Guru memiliki peran yang kuat dalam pembelajaran dan pengembangan peserta didik. Guru produktif memiliki peranan yang besar terhadap peserta didik, karena kualitas lulusan sangat bergantung kepada prakerin dan produktivitas lulusan.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru-guru yang bekerja di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang bernaungan di Yayasan Yohannes Gabriel Perwakilan Madiun. Sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah 47 guru. Metode pemilihan sampel untuk penelitian menggunakan simple random sampling. Variabel independent pada penelitian ini adalah gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah, sedangkan variabel dependent pada penelitian ini adalah kinerja guru.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah memiliki hubungan linier kepada kinerja guru dan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja guru SMK di yayasan Yohannes Gabriel perwakilan IV sub perwakilan Madiun. Hasil analisa data menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan linier antara gaya kepemimpinan demokrtais kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru. Berdasarkan hasil tes hipotesis diperoleh bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru.

ABSTRACT

Vocational High School Education (VHS) emphasizes practice in the implementation of learning because it prepares students for work. Principals of vocational schools need teacher collaboration to improve the quality of education. Teachers have a strong role in the learning and development of students. Productive teachers have a big role in students, because the quality of graduates is very dependent on field industrial practice and graduate productivity.
Research Method used is quantitative research method. The population on the research are teachers who work at schools Intermediate Vocational under the auspices of the John Gabriel Foundation Schools Madiun Delegation. The sample for this research is 47 teachers. Sample selection method for this research use simple random sampling. Variable independent on this research is Principals Democratic Leadership Style, and variable dependent on this research is teacher performance.
The results of analysis data show that there are a significant and linear relationship between the principal's democratic leadership style with teacher performance. The results of the hypothesis test, it was found that the principal's democratic leadership style had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The results of the researched, it was found that the democratic leadership style of the principal has a linear relationship to teacher performance and has a significant impact on the performance of VHS teachers at John Gabriel 4th Foundation Schools Madiun Delegation.
