Abstract
Pastoral lansia merupakan salah satu pelayanan Gereja yang
diselenggarakan secara khusus bagi kaum lansia/ orang berusia 60 tahun ke atas.
Pengurus lingkungan dipercayai dapat melakukan tugas tersebut dengan baik serta
diyakini akan memberi banyak dampak positif di kehidupan lansia. Realitanya,
pelayanan pastoral lansia ternyata kurang dirasakan kehadirannya oleh lansia
sendiri di beberapa daerah. Lansia banyak yang menderita atas berbagai tekanan
hidup juga berbagai sakit-penyakit, mereka hidup sebatangkara, tidak ada yang
merawat, bahkan beberapa diantaranya meninggal dunia tanpa sepengetahuan
pengurus lingkungan setempat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari informasi mengenai apa yang
menyebabkan masalah itu bisa terjadi. Sejauh mana keterlibatan para pengurus
lingkungan melayani kaum lansia. Dan program seperti apa yang akan dilakukan
oleh pengurus lingkungan bagi kaum lansia. Metode yang digunakan dalam
penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan melakukan pengamatan lapangan
dan wawancara. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini delapan orang (ketua
lingkungan).
Hasil penelitian menunjukan, penurus/ ketua lingkungan di paroki Mater
Dei madiun mengungkapkan akan melakukan beberapa program pastoral lansia
seperti kunjungan umat lansia, doa bersama lansia, memberi pendampingan
lansia, mendampingi asisten imam antar komuni, menjemput lansia ke gereja,
memberi pendampingan untuk keluarga lansia, dan menyesuaian jadwal dari
paroki. Dari data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa rencana pastoral lansia yang ingin
dilakukan pengurus lingkungan sudah cukup baik, tetapi kekurangannya tidak ada
program kerja pastoral yang nyata serta intensitas kegiatan. Untuk itu, peneliti
menyarankan agar kedepannya semua pengurus lingkungan wajib membuat
program kerja pastoral lansia serta melaksanakannya secara rutin/ disiplin.

Pastoral care for the elderly is one of the services of the Church which is
specially organized for the elderly/people aged 60 years and over. Environmental
administrators are believed to be able to carry out these tasks well and are
believed to have many positive impacts on the lives of the elderly. In reality, the
presence of elderly pastoral services is not felt by the elderly themselves in some
areas. Many elderly people suffer from various life partners as well as various
diseases, they live alone, there is no one to take care of them, even some of them
died without the knowledge of the local environmental management.
This study aims to find information about what causes the problem to
occur. The extent to which the ward administrators are involved in serving the
elderly. And what kind of program will be carried out by environmental
administrators for the elderly. The method used in this study is a qualitative
method by conducting field observations and interviews. The number of
respondents in this study were eight people (head of the neighborhood).
The results showed that the caretaker/head of the neighborhood at the
Mater Dei Madiun parish revealed that he would carry out several elderly pastoral
programs such as visiting the elderly, praying with the elderly, providing
assistance to the elderly, accompanying assistant priests between communions,
picking up the elderly to church, providing assistance to elderly families, and
adjust the schedule of the parish. From these data, it can be concluded that the
pastoral plan for the elderly who wants to be carried out by the environmental
management is quite good, but the drawback is that there is no real pastoral work
program and the intensity of activities. For this reason, researchers suggest that in
the future all environmental administrators are required to make a pastoral work
program for the elderly and carry it out regularly/disciplined.
