Birgita Evanda Citra Prapaskalis: “Penanaman Nilai-Nilai Toleransi dan Pluralisme Dalam Diri Para Siswa di SMAK St. Bonaventura Madiun Melalui Proses Belajar Mengajar di Sekolah”
Penanaman nilai-nilai pluralisme dan toleransi erat kaitannya dengan kesadaran masyarakat Indonesia yang kaya akan perbedaan suku, agama, dan budaya. Penanaman nilai-nilai pluralisme, toleransi, dan multikulturalisme ini diwujudkan melalui pendidikan multikultural yang bertujuan melahirkan kaum cerdik pandai yang memiliki pandangan luas, pengetahuan mendalam, kecintaan pada keragaman, serta mampu bertindak secara toleran-pluralis. Pendidikan ini dilakukan melalui proses belajar mengajar di sekolah.
Pokok permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya rasa toleran dan pengakuan akan keberagaman suku, agama, dan budaya di lingkungan sekolah, yang menyebabkan perilaku intoleran dan kebijakan tanpa rasa hormat kepada saudara yang berbeda suku, agama, dan budaya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis proses penanaman nilai-nilai toleransi dan pluralisme dalam diri siswa di sekolah Katolik melalui proses belajar mengajar di sekolah.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kuantitatif sebagai mayor, dan metode penelitian kualitatif sebagai pelengkap (minor). Metode analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Variabel independen dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik dan proses penanaman nilai-nilai toleransi dan pluralisme melalui proses belajar mengajar, sedangkan variabel dependennya adalah hasil teknik dan penananaman nilai-nilai toleransi dan pluralisme melalui proses belajar mengajar.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas responden (70%) memahami dan menghayati dengan baik nilai toleransi dan pluralisme, 75% memahami dengan baik hubungan pluralisme dan toleransi, serta lebih dari 75% telah mendukung pendidikan multikultural di SMAK St. Bonaventura Madiun dengan kegiatan pengajaran, ekstrakurikuler, ko-kurikuler, dan kegiatan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak di luar sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini didukung oleh hasil penelitian kualitatif yang menyatakan bahwa para guru sudah memiliki pemahaman yang tinggi tentang nilai toleransi dan multikulturalisme, dan telah berupaya untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai toleransi dan pluralisme kepada para siswa melalui proses belajar mengajar di kelas.

Birgita Evanda Citra Prapaskalis: “Incultating toleration and pluralism values in the life of students of St. Bonaventura Catholic High School through learning process in the school”
Pluralism and toleration values inoculation have a tight connection with awareness about Indonesian society which is very rich with different in term of tribe, religion, and culture. Pluralism, toleration, and multiculturalism inoculation is created through multicultural education, which is intend to put forth smart community. A smart community is a community that has a broad view, depth knowledge, love for diversity, and being capable to act tolerably-pluralistic. This community is indeed created through learning process in the school.
The main problem of the study is the lack of tolerant feeling and acknowledge of tribe, religion, and culture diversity in school environment. This problem creates intolerant behaviour and disrespect policy to those who have different tribe, religion, and culture. The goal of this study is to analyse pluralism and toleration values inoculation in the life the student of Bonaventura Catholic High School through learning process in school.
The research method used in the study is quantitative method as major, and qualitative method as complement (minor). The research has applied altogether both quantitative and qualitative methods. The independent variable of the study is a technique and process of pluralism and toleration value inoculation through learning process, meanwhile the dependent variable of this study is the results of inoculation of toleration and pluralism values through learning process in the school.
Based on the result of this study, it could be concluded that the majority (70%) of respondents have understood and lived up to toleration and pluralism values significantly, 75% of respondents excellently understood the relationship between pluralism and toleration. More than 75% respondents strongly supported multicultural education applied in St. Bonaventura Catholic High School by learning, extra-curricular, co-curricular, and cooperation activities. The results of the study have been supported by results of quantitative study. The study shown that all teachers have high understanding and appreciation to pluralism and toleration values. The study also shown that the teachers have tried their best to inoculate pluralism and toleration values in the life of students through learning process in the school.
